Okay, so the NSW vs VIC match is abandoned, and it appears that the match will be awarded to Victoria as if they won.

The amount of play that we had in that game did not say Victoria won the match (NSW 88/1 and that was it), so I am going to make a ruling here and say that the match DOES NOT COUNT and all players in that game will be substitued off if teams have named reserves (up to 3 reserves). All numbers from that game will be wiped and it will be as if the game did not exist.

If the ruling is that the match will be given as a draw then the above will not happen and bad luck.

I will leave a period of 24 hours from this message for teams to challenge this decision if they wish.

I want to name new reserves or not have it at all

And what if one day is rained out, what if two days are rained out, what if 3 days are rained out?
That depends on how the match is awarded for this season (Next season we will look into some kind of sub rule). In my opening post on this topic the first thing I said the reason for considering a move is that the match got abandoned before Day 3, they didn't go day by day, and the points got awarded as if it was a forfeit by NSW, not a draw. That to me has enough indication to say that we are allowed to move forward as if the game did not exist.

Okay I've come to a final ruling. I understand that whatever option I choose is going to upset someone, I can't possibly keep everyone happy with the decision I make. One comment from this discussion came to my attention: "Whatever we do now we'll have to do if a game is called off again this season." Because of this, and to avoid any possible controversy for future Sheffield Shield matches if this was to happen, I am deciding that all players scores from the NSW vs VIC game will count as if the match was played. I understand this will make some camps unhappy, however I see it as the most straightforward outcome for this scenario.

I will however mention that at this stage this will be the case for any BBL matches getting washed out, however I will open up a discussion on that topic at a later date. But for any future Sheffield Shield matches this season that go like this one, scores will count.

So NSW are the only undefeated team after 3 weeks after winning a thriller over an underperforming NT side. WA got off the mark thanks to Ben Dunk. ACT were the team of the week with a huge captain score by James Hopes, and the Possums go to 2-1 after a steady victory over the OD champs Queensland. Round 4 begins on Friday (Same day as the test, but in the morning).

The next two rounds will have some heavy bearing on them, not just for the sake of FC, but the ladders positions after Round 5, along with the finishing positions in the OD Cup, will provide a starting point for the amount of HGA teams will get during the T20 Trophy competition. Also a reminder that at some point very very soon the T20 auction will begin (By the end of the month I reckon), so keep an eye out, I will send you all a PM just to remind you all.

He got released the day before so got on the plane to Perth immediately. Pattinson was in Adelaide today I believe.

I did post in both threads before the games started. However I do assume that people click on the "new replies" button and then see it that way. I'll be using your team from last round.

Also time to turn attentions to the T20 threads guys

Stoinis has earned himself either the c or vc for next round.

DC has done alright this game too, it's a shame that he's sitting at E3!
