Conca definitely worth a look have had him sitting at F5 since day1 but there is also Simpkin and Wells all good Luey replacements

Restructure your team. Wouldn't bother with either Luey or Conca

I'm committed to playing Crouch at M7 this year so my options are Conca/Wells or cheap price premo/rookie. Any suggestions of a forward keeper for under 420k?

Sinclair,

Could go 90+ and you maintain your DPP ruck cover

Pretty much this. You're better off downgrading and using the cash elsewhere.

Conca should hit 80 at a minimum, upside is potentially 90 in which case he becomes a keeper (potential swingman). Like I mentioned, he has never had a preseason apart from 2015 where he suffered a season ending injury. He's 23 and about to enter his prime, usually a good tackler and the coach loves him. Will watch him in the preseason and then make a call.

Just because a coach loves a player it doesn't make them a good pick. He's also never played 22 games and has averaged 80  once.

He averaged 80 in 2014 once the injury affected matches are taken into account. I realise people are more interested in Simpkin however I prefer Conca, like I mentioned earlier, this is his best preseason since he's been at the club, for 284k he's not losing any cash and hopefully has something of a breakout year. I like him as a POD and will closely monitor over the next month.

I like the idea of getting Conca, I just hope he doesn't become the Lumumba of 2016.

Craig Bird maybe.

Kind of like how Bellchambers was going to score well because he was no.1 ruck. That hurt last year. And he's only ever had one good year anyway. No.

If you want to get behind the 8 ball then pick Luey! ;)

Is anyone still considering this guy? Injuries always the worry but he played VFL on the weekend and dominated the ruck.
Playing again this weekend I believe so if he gets through that I imagine he plays round 1.
Still very tempting for me as I think he can go 90+ and be the perfect swing man for Forward/ruck cover

Only just still thinking about him as a way to get Goldy a bit cheaper, start with a more balanced team and not burn too many trades.

Am considering starting with a solid R2, junk R1 (Leue) and R3 and just hope Goldy drops a bit and Leue goes up a bit, swap a fattened cow for Petracca or some other corrective trade for a bubble boy and start with same number of keepers just not Goldy who surely can't get much more expensive.

If I was gonna get Luey it would be at F3. Set and forget rucks for me

Far too much coin to get Goldy plus a keeper at R2 and Leue at R3.

Leaves the team unbalanced with so few really cheap reliable rookies looking likely.
