Yep,  DPP status has him now locked at F4 in my side

Like I said in the other thread, considering Woosha has publicly stated that Luey is their main ruck, and that Luey only agreed to sign on after speaking with Woosha who assured him that, I think the fact that he provides cover and is only 310k makes him a near lock for my forward line

It's Belly all over again, but a much better prospect

this
How about we call it similar to Belly with a different result.   I agree Leuy as F4/R3 is tempting.  Especially as fwds are looking a bit thin at the moment in my team.

Leuey is some chance to be in my team round 1 on the basis of Gray not being a Fwd, Dusty having a big ? Over a season start, Bont not being a fwd, Bartel not being a fwd and having a personal unwillingness to have Buddy. At the moment fwds look thin at the top end.
Last year I avoided having TBC and went Goldy Nic Nat with no ruck cover but atm I'm not sure I can start Goldy Nic Nat again, though I want to. If I can't squeeze Goldy into my team then having a Leuey as a third option with a fwd/ruck non player for loophole purposes might be the next best thing. Mind you I haven't really checked the draw as yet or know if that is a possibility.

Chopsticks will be in my forward line even if he does stab a few faces....really though what a complete tool.

What do people think he will average at Essendon next year? I'm not putting him in as cover only if he won't be a good pick on his own. I think he needs to average 90 to be of any value other than covering a potential out in the ruck.

With guys like Menzal/Wells (if fit), Kennedy and Petracca all cheaper and possibly averaging similar scores is it worth getting Luey other than to cover ruck? If I get him it will be to start him at R2, can't come around to having him as a forward.

Lot of talk about Leuy and I see he is in a lot of teams , first of all he will have to play the as the sole ruckman for most of the games to score well that's if he can stay on the park he is extremely injury prone sharing the ruck duties hurts his scoring badly , much the same as all the hype about bellchambers last year me thinks  ;)

I am working on 90+ and end season as d7/r3

Do you think these guys will average 90+ as a forward as well. I think it is worth the risk starting him  to give you the ruck cover should you be starting 2 prem rucks who may miss for a week or 2 only.   If he averages 90+ he is worth keeping at F6.
Kennedy and Petracca are locks at their price, Berger is 60k dearer than both Wells and Menzell but still think it worth it unless really strapped for cash. At the moment I have Berger at F4, Wells at F5, Kennedy at F6 and Petracca on bench.  My rucks are Martin and Jacobs.

Wells is the only one of those who's averaged near what Leuey has before. D. Menzel tonned up last year, but that's only the second time, Petracca is highly rated but is a totally unknown stock and I've never seen anything of Ben Kennedy to suggest he's capable of going 90+ this year. Leuey might be dearer but I'd back him in to score better than any of those including Wells.

This is main reason for Luey this year.   Assume you go 2 premo rucks and they are out for a game.   What is your fall back.    A non player R3 and a donut or a trade.    Got caught last year and forced to trade out NN.  Ended up year with Giles as D7,R3 cover and this year my plan is for leuy to fill this role.   If he Averages 80-90 and save me a trade or two I will be satisifed and come finals it will be a comforting feeling to have him there.

Agree with both last two writers - well said

What you say makes a lot of sense crowls, I'm thinking along very similar lines.

Apparently Leuey has had an injury flare up.

My source is a poster on Bomberblitz who was at Essendon's training session today.

The exact quote is "Leuenberger has had an injury flare up, unsure of what. Overheard Worsfold mention a flare up."

He's out of my team now. I had him at F4 but what is the point in having a RUC/FWD as coverage if he is constantly injured.

Just read through every post here to find something out that no one has covered yet. So here it comes.
With a fit , and uninjured, Leuenberger rucking for them, will it be easier for Watson and Heppell at
clearances than it has been in the past ??   I can't recall how good a tap ruckman he is, so please help
me out guys. Coz if he's a good tap man and with Woooooosha as coach just maybe Watson or Heppell
could be good SC team inclusions. My ruck is Mumford and Nicnat and that isn't changing unless Mummy
goes down at which stage I would estimate a sideways to Goldy proveided we got to the Rd 7 to 8 part
of the season. Leuey could start at F4. Would have been F5 but I had to go strong up back with an almost
set and forget F1 to 5.  Cheers and thanks in advance ladies and gentlemen.  Just curious, are there any ladies
here ??          ::)
