he could be the number one ruck and dirt cheap ... Is that enough to convince anyone to pick him up?
I personally will be looking at Stefan Martin as he will be the clear number 1 ruck and is already a proven scorer!

I expect Luey and Belly to share ruck duties and play forward. Could be an option for r2 allowing you to start an extra premium in another line, but I dare say would need to be upgraded eventually most likely

Yeah I agree completely espescially as they are both extremely injury prone and probably won't be great pods!

I think I'll be starting with Martin and Mummy as they will both be good scorers and some what unique!

You're right, Money Shot, if Luey is 100% match-hardened fit and firing on all burners he could be worth some small amount of consideration at his price.  But I wouldn't want to be burnt again by an Essendon ruckman after the Bellchambers debacle last year.  In these early days there are only three Essendon players I would consider.  Watson if fully 1000% fit, who should be at a good price, and either Hurley or Hooker depending on whether Worsfold decides to play them both down back, or give Hooker
lengthy spells up forward.

At 310K (what he'd cost based on this years prices) you'd have to consider it.

Holz

doesnt look a terrible option.

but screw you mid priced ruckman, especially mid priced essendon ruckman.

my season got destroyed the moment essendon didnt get suspended and i dropped NN and Shaw for hibberd and bellspud.

not going near that rabble, unless they are sub 150k.

Jukes

Leuey averaged 102 in 2011 and 97 in 2013, the last two seasons he's played 15+ games.

If fit lock him in

Southstorm

He'll always be part of a ruck duo at Essendon so I think 100ppg is off the cards.

Who would you say will be the other half of the duo...Bellchambers or McKernan? Actually, McKernan showed a bit toward the end of last season, I think he could be an improver - not in a supercoach sense - but in the way he goes about it.

Chances of Luey and Belly both staying fit for the whole season? 0%

McKernan will get games.

He deserves to start ahead of Bellchambers based on his form this year. Could even go with Luey in the ruck, Joe, Belly and McKernan up forward some weeks since Joe and McKernan have above average athleticism for big guys. It'd be more likely that you have 3 on the field and one on the bench at all times during matches.

TBC wasn't fit at all during the season.

If he is 100% fit he is a much better option than McKernan.

Leuey will be the number 1 ruck. TBC will play deep forward and give him a chop out.

McKernan will most likely be back in the VFL unless he has a massive pre-season.

Early days I'm liking Stef Martin/Luey combo  but Sinclair moving to Sydney makes a set and forget NicNat/Martin combo very tempting

Id be worried then about not getting Goldy in at some stage....
Might start a Luey/Sinclair if they are both gunna be stand outs and cross my fingers and toes - especially if a rookie bench ruck bobs up.

I'm really considering spending the big bucks on Goldy/Martin and starting really cheap in the defence!

Goldy/Martin is premium, if I can find space this is definitely the way to go!
