Is Dean Gore a Diamond in the rough?

Andrew Phillips SA development manager compared him to Joel Selwood on 5AA

But this report, almost has him similar to Sam Mitchell! "What the 2015 AFL Season Guide said: A smart footballer who reads the play well and is happy getting his hands dirty to win his own ball."

Hopefully he is just as impressive this pre-season with the crows

Hope he can make the most of this and push for a spot come round 1. Nearly debuted for Geelong before he got injured so he is capable no doubt.

Oh god here we go again.

You de-listed the next big thing Sam Siggins. What happened to the next Steven Silvagni?

Maybe try keeping a lid on every recruit you get from now on. Might make them good instead of wanting to leave because they get covered in the jizz from our media and can't breathe anymore.

To be fair, that's because he's been suffering from mental health issues and good on him for speaking out. Not really something you can criticise the Crows over.

I've been impressed with our eye for talent over the last few years - hopefully Gore can be another nice young player for our list.

These are his stats from this year. Was pretty close to getting a debut before injury struck.

I don't mind him as a player, comparing him to Joel Selwood is well over stretched. He could have trouble cracking the side straight away, i'd rather Crouch, Grigg, CEY and Lyons over him at the time. But he'll definitely be given a good chance.

So what's your operation this year Tbag? Still Operation: Get Ah Chee. Or you think 5 + 24 for 9 + 13 could start, Operation: Get Francis.

What are your thoughts PK? From my limited knowledge and research it would seem a surprise if Francis wasn't taken at Pick 3 or 4?

Did not know that my bad :-[

Point still stands about every Crows draftee being unbelievably ridiculous. CEY was so on track to be a dual Brownlow Medallist before he even played a game (He is the next Adam Goodes you know).

I think the Crows have done really well to secure two picks and a South Australian for an un-contracted player. The club will be better off I think, especially as they lost early draft picks from recent years due to Tippett.

Big Mac

Wouldn't have a clue about the draft this year, but I paid a bit of attention last year and really wanted Gore at the dees

Should be a good pick up for the Crows

tbagrocks

Well Matty Crouch re-signed and his Brother should have a pre-season and hopefully be on track for R1? ???

So it could be between Gore and Matt for a spot in the middle? Personally i'd like to se CEY get first crack at the sook's (Paddy) spot!
