I assume this is a senior team competition?
Valk yuo still running youth only?

I am just starting to build a senior side - a few players out of my youth squad to be promoted each season.  Started last season with 2 players, 2 more players this season and then 4 players each season for the next 3 seasons.  Slowly improve my senior academy over this time as well (currently at good)

Should give me a reasonable team and not be too financially draining while getting up and running..  Also, it should give me a chance to get to Div 3 in SOD and T20 by the time my team is ready (well thats the plan anyway).  Worse case I am in Div 4

I dont expect to be competitive for about 6 - 8 season time from now.

fair enough mate
good idea keep your best ones and build from there nice staggering of ages too that way ;)

@ PB i currently do not have a Affilate still tossing up as to whether i should or not i have enough credits

Competitive for the top maybe 6 seasons, competitive against other teams will come immediately :)

That's why I am hopeful that I can make Div 3 as my team gets set.

You and I can vs each other valk. I'm undertaking a transitioning phase

Slightly awkward how I am the highest ranked FF manager right now. I don't exactly feel like saying the highest ranked at EOS should get it if it's me. Hopefully Torp can overtake me in the next two updates.

The OP contains a list of all these teams in ranking order, Torpy would be our starting champion at this stage :)

Add me to that list PB! This shield sounds like a great concept!

Done. Also the OP now has a list of the rules.

I suppose that from now, I can say let's get challenging. I will look at sending a mail out to everyone.

If this is to work then matches being played and lots of chatter for those matches will be vital.

What happens if teams decline the challenge? Should be some kind of penalty

There's the bit that says everyone has to play 1 or 2 matches per season (depending on ranking) so that was the soft penalty in place to keep teams involved.

I think if we can get to the position where we have 1/2 matches a week then it's running well. The user base is not huge and we don't have that many evenly ranked sides competing for spots. (The difference between 6th and 7th is 500 ranking spots)

I can challenge the team above me and decline any invite from the team below me. Wait a month and then I can challenge the team above me again, whilst not moving down the ladder

Good point. Have you an idea for that? :-\

You can set a limit to the amount of declines you are allowed per season. Or matches are pre-organised, like the old PCC tournament

Oh yeah. We could do the following:
Wk 0: Champ vs 1, 2 vs 3, 4 vs 5 etc
Wk 5: 1 vs 2, 3 vs 4, 5 vs 6 etc (So Champ gets a bye and you play different team to last time)
Wk 10: Champ vs 1, 2 vs 3, 4 vs 5 etc

As for declines per season, what if I ask to play for your position on 4 consecutive days? Is that 4 declines? I really like the set days though.

You have a week for your challenge, every Sunday at 00:00 FTP (rough), can be anytime we set, on any day.  You have until then to organise a match. Failure to do so relinquishes your position

Hellopplz

Agree on the declining thing, has to be a certain amount of times, but enforcing it will be hard or finding the inbetween.

I may take a bit of a hit to ratings as sold/fired 3 32+ year olds lately so dropped down a bit :(.
