Although I hate saying it I prefer Martin x2. Two keepers and better scores.

Yeah I know right.
2 premos proven is better than one. But that other one is Goldy who was GAJ like this year.
Only another 4 months to decide.

Figure a possible 10-15pts better off with two martins over goldy billings.

Thanks... Billings is a speculative pick. Will keep improving. Expect him to do well and will have games where he scores big but at the price he is you have to take a punt on someone and he seemed the best of the bunch. Wasn't entirely comfortable with him there though.
D Swallow... Is the one I've brought in. I read Wato's reasoning in his team thread and as much as I didn't want to drop Beams it's hard to keep over Swallow given the savings of 195k for someone who scored 103ave priced at 77. In 2014 I was slow to jump on him... As most probably can recall he had 6 100+ scores to start the year... Good form continued with only 2 poor 50/60 scores for the year and 6 125+ scores for the year. So I afford Goldy and Dusty without losing much... Sad I can't keep Beams but Swallow at his price is a no risk no brainer.

How much cash did you have left in team 2?

Not sure Mat... Less than 50k more than 5k... Changed a rookie or two as well...76 k left now due to the Beams downgrade explained above.

I think you can do better then Billings in the 400k which is why I asked. I would rather Goldy and potentially a player b in that price range compared to Martin and Martin, but it will depend on the max price you can afford. That would also involve keeping Beams in the team.

I can't recall exactly Mat but I don't think I could afford ZMerrett and wasn't interested in Buddy and his baggage... it was Billings or a bunch of nothing to excite. Anyway...team now is...

Just one to look at in case you can fit him in as well, after the usual NAB adjustments. J Lyons M/F  was vested nearly most of his games and is one the Crowes are expecting to pick up some of the slack left by Danger's departure. Cheers mate.    ;)

I'm sorry but D Swallow at M4 is just horrible

He is not a mid keeper - you need to start with someone who is 100% to be a top 10 mid

The rest of your mids are coming back from injury and, with the exception of Goldy, you don't have any superstars on other lines.

I like your structure, if you can upgrade him it would look really good.

personally I would downgrade both Myers and Wells to rookies and then Swallow can become Pendles, Hanners, Beams or Danger

at least get him up to a Parker or Cotchin or Watson someone who has proved they can avg over 110 and could get back there.

I might entertain him at M6 as a stepping stone but he is not a M4
