Put $250 on him paying $3.50

Also had a multi and Shuey bet that fluffed, but still a good profit overall for the night

Laird @ $3 to poll most for Crows without Sloane looks to be good value
Betts is going to be around the mark, but ill take the value there.
Win

Anyone know the rules on ties in team votes when in a multi?
Edit: looks like dead heat rules. 2 tied so returns 50% of total value of bet slip.
Frustrating when you get a $3.50 return instead of the $7, especially when the other legs that won were $5.60 by themselves. Anyway a $50 multi @ 3.50 is not too a bad return.

Good stuff Paddy...
Was about to say his speech wasn't quite up to Fyfe's last year but I suppose it's all relative, but then he toasts Couchy! :-D

Had a great year! ABCs Brownlow preview was all over him winning WC.

Gaff and Shuey not the biggest story of the night involving West Coast.... Jono Giles was robbed!! Surely deserved a vote for his rd23 effort against Adelaide!!

If you were to ask any West Coast supporter who watched every game they would prob rank our best players this year as Shuey, Kennedy, Priddis then Gaff.  What we do know now if Gaff is a good poller as he polled well last year, this fact is now firmly implanted in the back of my head for future brownlow betting.

Gaff is one of my favourite players so I'm just a biased towards him :P I think he had more influence on games this year, disposal tally wasn't any higher than other years, but more damaging perhaps??

The Josh Kennedy drinking game was the biggest story of the night surely!

Ok, seasons over, time to get serious.  I'm going to put my tips into 3 categories, locks, semi-locks and split.

Locks:
Crows - Sloane
Bombers - Merrett
Dockers - Neale
Cats - Dangerfield
Dees - Gawn
Power - Gray
Tigers - Martin
Bulldogs - Bontempelli

Semi-locks
Lions - Rockliff (Zorko)
Blues - Gibbs (Cripps)
Hawks - Mitchell (Lewis)
Roos - Goldstein (Wells)
Swans - Parker (Hannebery)
Eagles - Priddis (Shuey) Gaff? :o

Split
Pies - Pendlebury/Treloar
Suns - Ablett/Hall tied Lynch
Giants - Ward/Coniglio/Shaw
Saints - Riewoldt/Steven

Above were my tips and results.  Bold was correct and red incorrect including ties.  13/18 ain't too bad at all!  Pity I couldn't turn it into top dollars!  Things I took away from this years BL:
1. Gaff is a ridiculous poller
2. If Carlton finish in the 8 Cripps will win a Brownlow
3. Pendles time is over, Treloar is your guy now, Sidey the other.
4. Betts is obviously invisible to the umps.
5. Gray and Goldy got the knockon effect from being favourites in the past.
6. Neal polled incredibly well just like Cripps
7. Jelwood does not get enough recognition
8. JKK is pretty hungover today.  ;D

Next year before the season starts I will start up a Brownlow thread where guys who watch each game can put there votes forward and I will average out the 3-2-1's.  8)

will be a tie next year
