Anyone have thoughts on the Freo market without Neale?

Fyfe @ $3.25 (Ladbrokes)
Barlow @ $3.25 (Crownbet)
Hill @ $4.00 (Sportsbet)

Surely we look at Barlow here. Fyfe played only in losses (hasnt historically polled well in losses) while Barlow's best games were when Freo won??

That seems like a no-brainer to me

Getting keener and keener on this... I reckon Barlow or Fyfe will win it, by using a bonus bet you can ensure pretty healthy profits!

I have Barlow ahead over Fyfe, but I would back Fyfe as Barlow is a pretty terrible poller even in good years, while Fyfe will get votes even in losses.

Only threat is Stephen Hill who historically doesn't poll as well as Barlow/Fyfe

Fyfe played the first 5 games, had 34 and 3 goals 2 in round 2 against GC (they lost so he might only get 1 or 2) then he had 26 and a goal in the round 3 derby (might get one or none) then had 27 and 4 goals in round 4 before breaking his leg in round 5

Barlow however had some big games but his big games were in Freo wins

Round 5: 32 possessions in a 4 point loss
Round 6: 33 possessions in a 30 point loss
Round 11: 26 and a goal in a 80 point win
Round 13: 43 possessions and 2 goals in a 24 point win

Right there Barlow is probably looking at 5-6 votes as well (has to get the three in round 13). He was also decent against Brissie in Round 12 but might not poll.

Hill played every game but lacked the massive games that Barlow/Fyfe had.

Round 2: 29 possies but Freo got pumped and Fyfe was Freo's best
Round 4: 24 and a goal but Freo lost and Fyfe was better
Round 17: Freo lost but he had 37 possessions so might snag a vote
Round 23: Might poll well here with 33 possies and a Freo win but Neale was BOG and Ibbotson & Boyd were excellent acorss HB

My two cents anyway... Was thinking of backing Barlow and Fyfe (one with a bonus bet) then have something smaller on Hill as cover. Can pretty much guarantee yourself profits  provided Walters/Mundy don't go crazy

the top 7 markets got really good odds still so will let you know

i think they get good odds as the chances are still slim to get all them correct even though favs

There is some absolute crack ups in there ahaha. some paying like 1001... I got on the top 7 market... danger, martin, parker, mitchell, sloane, selwood and shuey.  did another one with priddis instead of shuey. Both paying 34s..

I've learnt from previous years that if i stinge on my bets I miss out on a few that come in, I also fold a lot of multi's in case a few legs may be a little iffy.  I've always made a small profit, but going for broke this year...literally...broke...lol

yeah i know what you mean, one year literally 1 vote cost me thousands... walked away even, but should on won so much more had i had chucked a few extra on to cover.. I have 22 pending bets on at the moment. More to come no doubt.

Apart from the $300 with Crownbet I put on Sloane earlier in the year I have no other bets on.

Will going mental on Sportsbet in the next few days.
