While I agree he deserves the votes you have given him AK, I think you'll find Shaw won't get that many votes come Brownlow night. He played some ripper games last year and didn't poll a vote, so I think he will lose a few votes that you have him down for, which may push Ward up a little higher.

Fair enough but I have to my systems which have had great success making $ over the last 5 years.

GoLions

Jelwood and Danger could both finish off the 2nd half of the year with a decent amount of votes I reckon, would have them finishing 1 and 2 by the end of the season I reckon.

Great stuff AK, although expecting a few votes to come Rocky's way over the next few weeks ;)

Grazz

I'd have Danger infront of Jelwood at the minute by around 4 votes.

Phantom bet...Coniglio   ;)

I've got Jelwood ahead in my count too although Danger is slowly catching him, with Parker slowing down.

I've got Shaw on 11 votes aswell, but Ward on 14.

Rockliff won't rack up votes if they continue to lose by massive margins, close games he may pull a 3, but when they get smashed it's hard to give him more than 1 vote even if he gets 40 touches.

I think Hanners and Gawn are a bit too high on AK's count, but guess we'll wait and see!  :)

Geez way overs for shaw and ward! I have sheil ahead of both of them, same with coniglio. Danger is leading the way by a fair bit now after his 3 on the weekend. Selwood still in the top 5 but!

Said this last year too, but unless you're watching every single match the data can't be great. Can't just look over a stat sheet and vote which is why I honestly just use the Herald Sun and afl.coms predictors because they've actually watched the games

No doubt it's a lot of fun tracking your own vote count, but what the umps see is different to what the stats might say

Would be good to hear how you guys went at years end in terms of your counts vs the actual result

Too addicted I know. I have gone through and watched every match I watch replays on the ones I miss so the second Saturday arvo game, 1 Saturday night game then they middle game Sunday. Even then watching on TV doesn't help that much as the umpires are so close to the play they pick things up differently

I went pretty good last year. Won some money off brownlow multis as well. last 2 years ive done it ive been pretyy close to the mark. Was only 1 vote of fyfes actual count last year.

At the end of the day your never going to get it exactly right, because your merely guessing someone (an umpires) opinion, and every ones opinions is different, Just got to try and look at it from there perspective when doing votes...

Yeah I've done well over the years, last year was prob my least profitable year as was slightly off in my team multi's but still up on the winners, top 3-5, groups and handicaps.

Mines not perfect as I don't get to watch every game so I do go on stats with the games I don't watch, and if it's a toss up I go with the proven poller hence why I have Ward topping my GWS list and this has always proved right, proven pollers poll better over guys who aren't proven pollers even if they had better games.  I called it last few years with guys like Gray and Goldstein not polling when everyone said they would.  The guy this year who I don't think will poll as well as some people like AK and others think is Gawn even though he's having a monster season.

And it is super fun to track throughout the year.  Maybe next season we should get a group of ppl to watch paricular games and combine the votes for a FF count?

yeah it is good fun to track. yeah realistically, a ruckman doesnt have much of a sniff at winning it. Not impossible, but improbable. Even when goldy killed it that year i had him way unders compared to everyone else which proved right, the umps do stick to there guns and notice the high profile players for every touch they get..

Yeah could work, get like a fair few to do votes and work out an average and disitribute 3,2,1 from there !

And I'll take all WCE games, but I'm sure a few others will too :)

I watch about 90% of all games a year anyway, like I'm sure many others here do

We just need to create the thread next year, and then update the OP each week with our votes
