So looks like the crows are matching "any offer" made to Dangerfield at free agency...

Who/what are likely to be offered by Geelong? What do you think the Crows are after?

Surely Geelong would have known the Crows would do everything they could to keep him here or get the best offer. So is it likely that;
a) Adelaide and Geelong had already discussed outcomes before now, ie last year (I know this is against the rules but we all know it happens). Adelaide could have gone to the trade table then but with a huge risk of receiving nothing held out for this year.

b) Motlop's contract was signed because Geelong knew it would go to a trade?

Interested to hear your thoughts and expectations.

This and next years first rounder is what I reckon will happen. Adelaide might ask for Murdoch as well but whether Geelong are preapred to do that is another question.

For a top 5 player in the AFL? Not likely.

He's out of contract mate, I think you're overestimating the amount of leverage you've got.

Perhaps but Geelong aren't going to risk losing Danger by offering pick 9 and a spud. We're not going to take that.

Danger's left hand is >> than Gibbs. Absolutely no chance!

Maybe the Crows could get two first round picks from the Cats and send ONE of them to the Blues for Gibbs. He's signed until the end of 2019 though so that's pretty unlikely.

Hahaha thats simply not true :P

Why would they want Gibbs? I though Adelaide wanted to improve their team

I think Fagan wants to look tough.

My prediction

If Geelong offer less than $1mil per season, then the Crows will match it. If the Cat offer more than $1mil, the Crows will not do anything and 'receive' (not 'take') pick 13.

It seems the Cats aren't stressed at all, whilst the Crows seem to be in disarray. I think this indicates their respective positions in the matter. I still think it's all talk
