I hate how this board has become so inactive this year :( I'll put more effort in myself to try and keep it ticking over from now on.

So, let's just not think about last week, THIS week v the Crows, what changes are we likely to see?

Gunston is confirmed out, his replacement is likely to be either Sicily, Schoey or Spang. Personally I'd give big Shoey a go, Spang I think is more suited to defence rather than the forward line.

Having said that, I wouldn't mind seeing Spang get a game ahead of Frawley. Don't get me wrong, I'm a fan of Frawley, but please leave him in the flowering backline. I swear I almost cut sick on the weekend when I saw him consistently playing forward in the first half. DON'T get me started on Lake at FF in the second half. I'm guessing these were for match-up reasons, but please can we never see that again, especially in a final.

Big Cegs is a sneaky chance of sliding in as Hale and McEvoy had 13 touches between them. Big Boy would likely be the one to hold if that were to eventuate.

Hartung must be lurking a game this week pretty hard, albeit likely as the vest. Duryea needs to play the full game, I was only slightly less annoyed about finding out he was sub as I was about Lake at FF. I don't know who would come out for Billy though, perhaps Suckling. I wouldn't even be mad if it was Hill. Stratton even a possibility although IIRC he killed Betts last time we played them. Maybe for Frawley if we want to go in shorter than we did last week?

In defence, I'm not too sure what our match ups will look like. I'm assuming Stratts will go to Betts again, Duryea can probably take Charlie Cameron, Gibbo seems like a nice fit for Tom Lynch. That leaves Tex and Jenkins. I wouldn't even know which of Lake, Frawley, Spang and Schoey to put on those guys as they are quite athletic.

tl;dr?

Get Schoey in. Get Billy in. Keep Frawley and Lake in the back half where they belong and most of all please let's just get the job done and move onto next week.

Would think Schoey would come in for Gunston.

I actually thought Big Boy and Hale were reasonable last week nullifying NicNat to a degree and was a bit surprised when Hale was subbed (was hoping it would be Frawley :P) They will be important this week as we need them to kick goals without Gunston and Rough will have the tough matchup of Talia.

The Crows forward line worries me as they are very similar to West Coast. They are always moving up and down the ground and a number of times they got out the back of the Bulldogs last week, exactly the same as West Coast did to us.

We've kept Betts to 1 goal the last 2 matches (Stratton & Litherland) but he still really worries me.

We really need to clean up our disposal into the forward line as it was horrendous last week even under no pressure and resulted in a lot of the Eagles goals as it enabled them to slingshot and catch us out on the way back.

Bad luck mate, sad year for the Crows but they can be proud of the way they were able to bounce back from the late-season events.
