As soon as Holz updates the list, so some time this weekend.

have all the top up players been announced? / do we know essendon's deadline? / would it be better to do the rookie after that?

I wouldn't have thought that the top up players would be available in the rookie draft?

Hey EXV, a bit of shameless advertising going on here, as we need to find a new admin for the AXV competition.

I have to announce that I intend to step down as AXV administrator. It's been great to run the competition for the last couple of seasons, but unfortunately in the coming year I will not have the time to commit to running the competition on a weekly basis, and making it the best it can be. I do intend to remain as coach of the Manila Folders. Ricochet my assistant admin does a great job, but he too lacks the time to run the competition on his own.

So far we haven't had any members of the current AXV community who have the time to and are willing to take over to run the competition, which is entirely understandable as it is quite an extensive role. So we are now extending to ask the wider FF community if there are any coaches out there interested in taking over the primary administrator position of the competition. It is quite an involved position, but it is great fun, and a way to get even further involved in fantasy football. We still have a couple of months to go before the season proper starts, so there is plenty of time for a new member to come into the position and get settled. I will be more than happy to help out the new coach and show them the ropes, and show them how the weekly running of the competition functions.

So if anyone is interested, please send a short application to myself and Ric as to why you believe you should gain the position of competition admin. As we haven't had any current AXV Coaches wishing to take on the role, we are willing to look at someone who is not a current head coach to take on this role. Its great fun to do, so send me a message if you think you might be interested and want some more details.

top up players arent in the draft but the late draft means people can make smarter decisions in terms of delisting and who they pick up in the draft. so Hungary has lost a defender in hurley, im probably going to have to pick up one in the draft now and before i was looking at mainly mids.

it'd be more that people with players who have retired/ been delisted could retain them on their lists?

correct you could always take a punt and keep retired delisted players. Have always felt if you think they will be back you can keep them on your list its your loss if they dont play.

Trade announcement:

Iceland and Belarus have been at the trade table.

Iceland give: H. Bennell + L. Picken + J. Grant + R38  FOR  A. Francis + B. Lennon + A. Fasolo + R4  from Belarus.

Belarus expanding its Mids post positional announcements. The loss of young Francis and Lennon can be covered in the existing structure. R 4 a hit as is Fasolo who can be anything, but settling the midfield pre draft is a good thing.

HP to confirm.

Confirmed.

Basically trading out Harley who's a jet and top 15 (top 10 after DPP changes possibly) and Picken who just went 100 for some youth to cover my aging positional players. Harley is a huge loss and Picken leaves my mids pretty weak but I can survive this season landing some nice youths in Francis and Lennon for the future. Fasolo also a handy young forward that I could use as depth going forward as have Roo, Westy, Pav and Waite in there. Backs a similar story, and wanted to get some youths in I liked with potential. But at the expense of points which may hurt my finals push as basically went out two starters for depth.
