the order will be the players average by position.

eg. 10th best defender picks before 8th best mid. I will make a list if the players are rubbed out. These players will only be on your list for 1 year then you get your player back.

A nice simple one for both teams. Kommer was superfluous to our needs and 17 will be very useful to us. But has increased relevance and will be handy for Holz.

I'm in favour of no compensation across any of the XVs and heres why.

For three years we have known about the risk of suspension and it was even leaked which players were injected and therefore at risk of the maximum 2 year penalty. If you knowingly took on this burden, possibly getting players at a cut price because of it, you should not now be compensated once the sanctions have been handed down.

And before everyone jumps up and down saying I'm only saying this because I don't have any Bombers in EXV... I have this standpoint across all the XVs, including Americas DT where I have Heppell and Stanton as two of my best midfielders.

I do understand your reasoning. But, if the AFL is willing to let the clubs affected have rookies upgraded and top up players, then there is no reason why this league shouldn't have something similar.

I agree with you that we did know this was a possibility and that there isn't a reason for compensation. Saying that the guys picked up wont be superstars and they will still feel a big loss.

The thing is did anyone really think it was going to come to this. I accounted for the stress of this situation negatively affecting players but really didn't see this coming. Its 100% unprecedented, so getting some VFL spud to cover a superstar doesnt seem much of a compensation.

I dont really like that people are getting compo for something they knew was a possibility but its what the AFL is doing so might as well copy.

If other people share Ele's view then im happy to hear it, I 100% agree with everything he said though and its what I would be leaning too but I dont see getting a vfl guy for say heppell is that big a gain.

Ok so I've seen some comments in a couple of other comps about using last years avg which is no good imo.

So what I was thinking we can either use a players career average against that team for example Heppell v West Coast his avg is say 85 which will include vests etc or use say last 3 avg or whatever number of years we decide on and use that score instead of doing a mini draft for compo picks.
Due to these players having a predetermined score they cannot be used as C,VC or EVC tho
