TROUBLED Suns player Harley Bennell is almost certain to have played his last game for the Gold Coast following an alleged incident in Surfers Paradise on the weekend.

Police sources allege Bennell was charged with disorderly behaviour after an argument with a security guard outside a nightclub.

Bennell allegedly “slapped a cigarette out of a bouncer’s hand” and later recorded a high blood-alcohol reading.

lol, its clearly a combination of a number of incidents that lead to him having severe off-field issues.

Tbh it doesn't even sound that bad

No reason he wouldn't be allowed to go out drinking, and yeh maybe he shouldn't have hit the guy's cigarette but it's not like we know what was said between them

Just remember he was out of team because of injury so should he have been drinking as well. Another question to be answered did Harley have a go at bouncer for smoking within 8 metres of the entrance as per Qld anti smoking laws? Feel sorry for Harley but realistically the basic problem will remain even with a change of club.

He'll have no problems in Melbourne, the nightlife down here sucks anyway. After living with the strip he'll probably want to stay in on saturdays given the alternative.
