Not really too surprised tbh with those delistings.

Leaves us with only 3 spots on the senior list. If Carlisle comes, does that mean there will be only 2 spots in the draft?

Depends on the trade for Carlisle I guess...

Because TBH I think we need to use that 3rd rounder...

First - Best Midfielder Avail

Second (If not traded for Carlilse) - Best Outside Mid Avail

Third - Skinner or Glass-McClasker (Key defenders)

Don't all clubs have to use a minimum of 3 picks (be it new players or rookie upgrades) in the draft?

I think you need 3 list changes? Dont know if it has to be 3 picks?

yeah rookie upgrades count. I'm not sure if you can just upgrade 3 rookies and not draft anyone though (I know that's not what ya meant)

Probably if you wanted to waste a first and second rounder. It's more that 3 don't fit into 2 senior spots!

This could be true then

Nathan Freeman (Collingwood) apparently has requested a trade to us. Not sure if he's out of contract so we could potentially get him for free?

Or what are we willing to give up for him? would a 2nd/3rd round pick be enough?

kilbluff1985

2nd rounder would be a steal he was pick 10 in 2013

Yeah I guess so.. Just worried about his injuries. If he were to shrug them off by pre-season, he'd be the perfect outside midfielder for us... That extra pace we need. Will be very interesting...

Saints look set to part with with a 2016 pick (Not yet said which one...) for Outside Midfielder, Nathan Freeman.

Don't mind parting with a pick for him. 2nd round/3rd round likely IMO

Didn't see it but have read that Damien Barrett on Sunday Footy Show said Carlisle has named St.Kilda as his club of choice and that negotiations are 'well advanced"

QuoteST KILDA is hoping Jake Carlisle will make a decision on his preferred new football home by the end of the week after meeting the Essendon tall in recent days, chief operating officer Ameet Bains says.

Bains confirmed NAB AFL Trade Radio on Tuesday that Carlisle had undergone a medical on Monday but still had more physical testing to complete.

"There's a little bit more to follow up on. It wasn't done in one hit but hopefully we'll come to a landing in the next day or two, and then certainly from Jake's end hopefully a decision is reached by the end of the week," Bains said.

QuoteMeanwhile, Bains was confident St Kilda would reach a deal with Collingwood on midfielder Nathan Freeman in the trade period, saying the club's initial discussions with the Magpies had been positive.

Bains said St Kilda's medical team had spent some time assessing Freeman recently and was confident he could put his hamstring woes behind him.

"We're comfortable with where things sit. He's obviously missed lot of footy so it's not like he's going to come back and be ready to go straight away, but in saying that we're confident in terms of his long-term future," he said.

"We certainly did like him and rate him in his draft year so we're excited that he wants to play for us."
