258th overall, tempted to go hutchings + all hawks to be unique

Hurn I think is pretty hard to go past but other than him you could totally do this... Not that I necessarily think it's a fantastic idea, but it could be done...

Hurn, Suckling, Lake
Hodge, Smith, Hill, Hutchings
McEvoy
Rioli, Breust, Puopolo

Fits with $1300 to spare.

Think I will have to do it with Hale. Have to wait for teams I guess.

Last year my friend did this in the grandfinal week and came 9th for the week, easily first had he picked a good Captain choice.

Also in my league for Swans vs Roos, he picked Goldy and all swans and even though swans lost, he scored 1262 and 1711th for the week.

I think you would be surprised about how viable it is!

Actually I like that team the more I look at it :P

Who would you turf for Hale? And what would you do with the extra cash? Honestly Hale hasn't been inspiring so I'm not sure I see the value in it really...

[edit]

I'm pretty sure I F'd up that team too, Breust should be Frawley, then it works

Maybe Breust to Frawley, Hodge to backline and Hurn to Lewis? :P Actually quite like the team now too haha

I'm a little worried about Hodge........hardly scored after being hurt on the weekend and been training (lightly) with injured group this week

I thought Hutchings would be sub against North ...  ::)
(I'm not going online pre-game for SC finals - have to draw the line somewhere!)  ;)

so now I'm worried that he'll be sub (in rotation) with Rosa for the GF??  :-\   :-X   :P   ;)

He's been very good so far, surely they won't start him as sub? Plus how can you even make a team without Hutchings price wise? :P

fanTCfool

I'd say Sheed is in line for the vest more so than Hutch.

I'm conscious of Hawthorns tendency to share the SC points around. For this reason I'm actually picking more WC players especially Priddis, Hutchings and Nic Nat.

I'm picking a few WC players but will still be majority hawks, I think the loss in week 1 gave them a real kick up the backside and they'll have a way better showing this time around. In terms of spreading points they're both pretty similar, you've got one or two players who will do really well, then a handful around 100 then a pretty even spread...

Help me spend 60k people! There's so many players just slightly out of reach...

Hurn, Lake, Schoey
Hodge (C), Yeo, Hill, Hutch
McEvoy
Rioli, Frawley, Wellingham

Kinda tempted by LeCras over Rioli which would leave me with 100k but there's still no standouts...

Hill to Sheed and Yeo to Lewis?

fanTCfool

Thinking I should just throw the C on JJK, nothing to lose really.

Hill to Sheed and Yeo to Lewis?

Maybe, I think Lewis is probably the only reasonable target upgrade, but he's been pretty average so far other than a decent game last week. Sheed just worries me as vest bait...

Could pay off. To be honest I'm expecting the hawks to dominate this game, week one was a wake up call and I don't think it will be anything close to the same game. So I think Weagles fwds are pretty risky. BUT, if I'm wrong and the weagles make a decent contest of it, JJK will be crucial to them. Essentially I reckon he's either gonna go 120+ or ~70...

GCSkiwi

After a little tinkering

Hurn, Schoey, Frawley
Hodge, Smitchell, Hill, Hutchings
McEvoy
Breust, Wellingham, Hill

Only 12k left. Hill a bit risky but cheap so meh.

Ringo

Have gone with
Hurn, Suckling, Frawley
Mitchell, Burgoyne, Hutchings, Sheed
McEvoy
Rioli, LeCras, Wellingham

May change when subs announced though
