WXV Vacant Coaching Positions (There's two now!)

Hey all!

roo boys announced last night that he is stepping down from the Toronto Wolves; a team he has coached from the beginning, built himself and shaped over the past 4 years.

The WXVs has lost a great servant.

However, that means that a spot has finally opened up for another aspiring coach in the premium game that is WXVs.

Applications will close at Sunday Night of Round 22.



Now, attention all aspiring applicants!

WXVs is a fantastic community of quality characters, from the "confident" reigning premiership winner Holz to the brains trust at Cairo. We have been blessed this year with 18 teams actively participating, which you do find yourself naturally doing anyway, because Worlds is just a fun and addicting place to be a part of. As such, we saw only one occurrence this year of a team forgetting to submit there team on time (the last round... it was painful :P), and no mid-season departures.

But before I go on, ask yourself these questions. Am I active/passion enough to:
1) submit my team every week?
2) respond to votes?
3) trade?

IF you answered yes to all those questions, and think this is a place you'd love to be a part of, then be sure to apply in this thread, outlining:

1) Any experience. Whether it be at another XVs comp, or the degree of neglect in your real-life to focus in fantasy football :P
2) How you think you'd contribute to the community. For example, would you be keen to make club best & fairests, a fancy team board, engaging in the banter etc. as a lot of our current teams do.
3) What is Toronto's best XV in your opinion (see team below)? What general trade approach will you employ if you think necessary?


ANYONE can apply, whether you are relatively new to FF or even a current WXVs coach, but remember when you do your applications that all the Worlds coaches will be voting for you, and will be reading your applications. So make sure you get in every thing you want to say, but be careful of the TLDR glance (too long, didn't read).

Hey all again!

Another team; the Buenos Aires Armadillos, has decided to join the Toronto players in the wilderness. This now means that not only is there now two positions, but you now have the privilege of drafting a new team out of the former players of Toronto and Buenos Aires!

Pretty exciting ey?!

This also means, that with two new teams, means that the teams need new names, which will be decided by me and the current WXVs coaches in due course. Below you'll also see Buenos Aires' list.

Let's kick things off then, shall we?

I'm GoLions, but you can all call me GoLions. Been playing SC since 2008 IIRC, so got a bit of experience in that department. Usually finish top 5k, never anything really high though. Been an assistant at Karen since early last year or thereabouts, but I just can't sand it anymore. Other experience is coach of the Bradford Badgers in BXVs, and assistant to LF (EXVs) and Nige (AXVs).

What can I bring to the community? Bants, laughs, cakes made of rainbows and smiles. Recently ran Bradford's BnF which can be found here, might look at making the team board a bit more fancy in the off-season.

Now, on to Toronto's Best XV...

I'd be looking to get fairly active in the trade period. Don't see myself as a great drafter so would want to trade most (if not all) of my picks. I can't really make any guarantees on my trade strategy, but I can guarantee you this; Holz will not be getting Pendles! Unless he gets me Rocky...
Would probably want another half decent defender at the very least though.

hi guys my name is kilbluff1985 many of my friends call me KB i have been playing SC for a handful of years usually finish in the top 5k i am a former co coach of Tokyo but Boomz and i parted ways due to different strategy opinions, former assistant at PNL and current assistant at Seoul and Australian Ales in AXV i also co coach Birmingham in BXV and coach Anaheim in AXVIII SC as you can see tons of experience

most of you know what i will bring to the competition after seeing me in other comps dedication, keenness, fun and banter and strategic endeavors

this is the part where i should name a best xv however i don't see the point because if i get the team you wont recognize it next year i see Toronto as a middle tier team which is only a bad thing because i don't see how it will improve to climb the ladder not enough quality youth so i would put it into a full rebuild i gave experience doing this with Birmingham and Anaheim both of these teams now seen as teams of the future just ask Jukes and Ringo

i'm confident trading for youth and even more confident with my drafting skills i feel like i am the right person to take this team to the next step and want to make rooboys proud of his old team
