Because you can't get seats anyway if you are a member.
We have a waiting list so long for seated members that it will almost fill the new stadium straight up.
Membership just gives you first option on resale tickets. My oldest has membership and is on the waiting list which gives him 2 Adult and 2 kids seated membership once his turn comes up.

Why not become a member? ;) support your club. Do t say no money as an excuse, I value my Port membership over food.

I'm on a 4-year waiting list ya barbie don't rub it in.

Ouch that must hurt then :/ new stadium is 60k seats right? I think Port memberships have a waiting list too now, I've been one for 10 years so I have t had any issues but I can't upgrade. Part of me wants Port to start failing (not 2011 failing but like this year) so the bandwagoners piss off and I can get my membership to a higher level :D

Haha yeah it flowering sucks man. The waiting lists go forever over here with West Coast and Freo have one too now I think.

Yep 60k for the new stadium, plus, its closer to my house haha

I'm a member, as have spoken to few people of waiting list and I'm pretty sure the list is over 10,000 now with there already being 38,000 approx allocated for memebers at subi currently. So not sure how they will work it, there is talk of tickets like McC members which may take a few. Either way by the time the stadium is built it will be at max membership for seats allocated anyway.

LF

They are apparently  keeping like 10k seats available for people to just to be able buy tickets,so not all on the waiting list will get seated membership anyway by the time it's finished being built.Should be 70k at least no 60k

Yeah 10k seats for general public is a little muich... Maybe 7k would be sufficient... Should of built 70 for sure. Imagine that getting between 60-70,000 every game just for home and away games.... would be crazy!

Nah not really, means people from interstate are able come over for games and be able to get tickets easier.

The_Captain

No chance of 10,000 people coming from intertstate... Most of the seats allocated for interstate supporters already go no where near filling up at subiaco... And there is bugger all, probably like 2000. Besides Collingwood, Dockers, Carlton, maybe Essendon.. the supporter blokes strictly allocated to the away teams supporters are left with gaps everywhere....

LF

Yeah but Subi is a showerhole really, the new stadium should attract a lot more people to it

Maybe... or that new bridge should do it :P.

Looking forward to this game, shame both sides missing a few quality players but should still be pretty good. I'll tip WC at home.

Let' go Coasters!  Stringer is going to be a permanent fantasy/football beast in the coming years.

I'm on the waiting list too, imagine how much money they make off us who are In the Wings members.  $65 a year, over 10000 members...I've been on it for about 6 years now I reckon and prob haven't budged much at all! :(
