Also, if my maths is right, the Hurricanes are 730/9.

So Wright, Goldy (c), Boomer, Sheridan, 276 + HGA (currently 51)

vs

Bob, Jones, Mundy (c), Hill, Petrie, Stringer

Should hold on...

Hmm. Thought I was having a bad one.
Your scores were a bit more consistent across the board. Stef Martin got a massive 130 for you though which helped a lot.

My forwards have been terrible, but the rest have well and truly turned up to play, hopefully they do the same next week if I hold on and win this.  :-X

Nige

Sheridan subbed for just 37 BXVs (will be my HGA) just giving the Hurricanes a chance.  :P

Also, captain Goldy might not get a ton!

Liverpool Rams - 1538/15 with C, sub, HGA and 20 bonus points

R: T.Goldstein 114x2=228 (c)
F: B.Harvey 88, T.Cloke 51, L.Taylor 54, J.Laverde 57

And Hurricanes are currently 1041/12 with C I think.

Means Bob, Jones and Stringer need like 500ish between them, surely can't happen.

I think we're in to the final!

Congrats :)

Sure hope the team I should have been playing this week gets a higher score than I did, otherwise I'd be mighty pissed off!

Not looking forward to facing that next week.  :-X

Hopefully Fyfe gets suspended, might make the job easier.  :P

We got saved by a couple of big scores this week (eg. Zorko). Tex and Lynch won't get it as easy against West Coast as they did against Brisbane. Hodge will be out suspended (not that he's done much the past 2-3 weeks), and Goldy will destroy the Dogs for you.

If Fyfe does get suspended we're stuffed as we already starting shifting forwards into the midfield this week :-\

I have to hope Roughy and Tex do well for my AXVs team next week, damn the conflict of interest! And yeah, Goldy should slay the Dogs.  ;D

Dunno about my forward line though, I can't imagine it doing too much better than it did this week.

I think it could be very close.

Back after some time out of contact - 7and a half hour drive both ways to the Carnarvon Gorge in Qld but well worth it.

For the results:

Premiership

Preliminary Final 1 Winchester Werewolves 25.14.164 defeated Huddersfield Hawks 22.17.149
Changes:
Werewolves: No change
Hawks: Jake Lloyd subscore replaces Ryan Bastinac Score
Werewolves worked up for the finals with a resounding win over the Hawks. With Captain Matt Priddis dominating the midfield and providing silver platter to their forwards led by Dayne Zorko put other finals contender the Rams on notice that they will have to work hard to stop their run. The Hawks captain Sam Mitchell   put in his worst performance for the year and was unable to match the efforts of Priddis. Thge Hawks backline stood tall but with the amount of ball coming in they were going to be scored against.
Best Players:
Werewolves: Zorko, Priddis, Tom T Lynch, Patrick Cripps, Taylor Walker
Hawks: Kreuzer, Sidebottom, Wingard, Ben Jacobs, DeLidio

Preliminary Final 2 - Liverpool Rams 23.13.151 defeated Hastings Hurricanes 20.16.136
Changes:
Rams: Luke Dunstan subscore replaces Thomas Sheridan score.
Hurricanes: Jasper Pittard Subscore replaces Shane Edwards score
A very disappointing effort from the Hurricanes who undoubtedly saved one of their worst performances for the year for this Preliminary Final. They were not helped with having to sub Shane Edwards out in his first game back after injury. The Hurricanes can take solace that Stefan Martin won the highly anticipated Ruck contest with the Rams Todd Goldstein. Hurricanes Captain David Mundy also had one of his worst games of the year allowing the Rams midfield led by Dyson Heppell to dominate. If Rams are to beat Werewolves in the finals there midfield will have to again dominate.
Best Players:
Rams: Houli, Hartlett, Goldstein, Heppell, Treloar
Hurricanes: Stefan Martin, Hurley, Stringer, Pittard

Next weeks final - Werewolves v Rams (Thread will be up tomorrow)

Plate
Preliminary Final 1 - Manchester Magic 24.13.157 defeated Blackpool Bunnies 22.13.145
Changes:
Magic: Jay Schulz replaced Lance Franklin and Rory Sloane subscore replaces Marley Williams score
Bunnies: Matt Shaw subscore replaces Jarryd Lyons score
Magic showed what could have been with one of their highest scores of the season. (Would have won 2nd Preliminary Final.) Coach took a risk naming Zac Smith as captain and he repaid the faith shown in him by dominating the rucks giving their midfield led by Brandon Ellis and Andrew Gaff first use of the ball. Supersub Rory Sloane was also introduced to the midfield continuing the midfield dominance. For the Bunnies Captain JP Kennedy played a lone hand in the midfield but sadly lacked support,
Best Players:
Magic: Motlop. Brandon Ellis, Sloane, Gaff, Zac Smith
Bunnies: JP Kennedy, Curnow

Preliminary Final 2 Oxford Owls 20.13.133 defeated Leeds Leeches 19.19.133(Owls won on countback)
Changes:
Leeches:  No change
Owls: Sam Mayes replaced Jonathon Ceglar
In a game worthy of a final Owls just outlasted the Leeches. Owls won on Total Points 1334 to 1327. Poor goalkicking cost the Leeches with usually reliable Tom Hawkins missing set shots. The Owls defence shut down quite a number of forward raids as well forcing rushed shots.
Best Players:
Owls: Guthrie, Andrew Swallow, Tom MacDonald, Tuohy, Docherty
Leeches: Sam Jacobs, Isaac Smith, Shuey, Gilbert and Rance.

Next weeks finals - Magic v Owls (Trust both coaches read this thread to know they qualified  :) ;)).

Kind of humorous that after all the noise made about the Magic lineup they out scored 3 out of the 4 Premiership preliminary finalsits :-X
