Oh thank god.

I know New York weren't at their best, so I'm considering myself lucky.

GG New York, you had an outstanding season!

too good mate

Disappointing season overall, but that's what injuries do I guess.

New York did amazingly well to make the finals guys, disappointing to lose, but a great season IMO, well done

Dublin Proves Round 17 No Fluke

The Destroyers progress, and pretty much look unstoppable right now. They remain the premiership favourites, with a lazy 8 players posting centuries. Mexico City were great, but not good enough with Johnson, Bartel and Simpson not up to the Dublin standard. The Suns will get their second chance though... this isn't last time we hear from them.

SANDILANDS DOES IT AGAIN

WOW! What a comeback! The Saints were behind the whole day and I just expected the all round consistency from the Reindeers to overrun them... but finals hero Sandilands had something to say about that! I'm very glad I recently praised Sandi in his 50th game celebration, because I mention that he has a history of performing on the big stage and almost single-handedly the Captain of Christchurch brings the preliminary final to New Zealand. Incredible! The bad luck for PNL just continued... coz they certainly weren't shamed, they had 7 centurions for goodness sake! What a game, what a result!

PNL Reindeers (24.8.152) lost to Christchurch Saints (25.10.160)

Moscow Guns no match for Islander Spears

This was also a great close game, and wasn't really decided until Pacific's Jack Martin went down in the 3rd quarter with due to injury. The ruck battle was epic, with Monfries 10cm height advantage accounting for Blair. There was five 130+ scores too! For the Islanders, this ends an outstanding transformation from receiving the wooden spoon about this time last year to an amazing final 6 game winning streak grabbing 5th spot in the year after. For Moscow, huge relief and encouragement about getting back into some form that may challenge Mexico City.

Pacific Islanders (20.10.130) lost to Moscow Spetsnaz (22.6.138)

Moscow: Dyson Heppell, Callan Ward, David Armitage, Angus Monfries, Robbie Gray

Great write ups!

Bad luck Pacific, you had a great season.

Not sure why you listed Selwood as winning a Finals Champions medal Purps - he didn't do that well, I took the liberty of changing that :P

As mentioned, that was Sandilands 3rd BOG performance in a final

Berlin's Virgin Finals Crowd knocks out Virgin Finals New York

I was genuinely stressed the whole weekend, and the thought of doing it all again is gonna suck so bad. Berlin won this match on debutant Rory Atkins HGA of 50, in a game where both teams were performing well below what they would like. This was Berlin's 5th lowest score for the year and New York's 6th lowest, which makes sense seeing as there was only 5 centurions for the match. New York started the match slowly and was slightly behind Berlin the whole time, until Sunday were all 5 of Berlin's Melbourne players choked horribly, allowing the Revolution back into the match. With Captain Fyfe on just 43 at half-time, a Revolution victory became the likely outcome. But Fyfe produced a 42 point quarter and followed it up with another 34 point quarter to get the Brewers home. I also like to think my micro-management of Drew Petrie (I saw him play live) got the win, so I reckon my on-field coaching was telling :P. This ends another amazing transformation year for the Revolution, having improved so much despite constant injuries.

Kings outrank Princes

At least PNL get some consolation in a low scoring affair, with Laverde and Myers getting them home despite the Princes having one more player.
