Excellent trading by the Giants there to move all their picks into the first 2 rounds.  Giants have turned over 29 players from their list so we wait and see how competitive they are this year. May not set the world on fire next year vut watch out in future years,

We may be on the optimistic side, but we're hoping to push for finals next year actually. We've traded very hard to get quality picks that will be the core of our team going forward. But have also infused a lot of players we see as having significant improvement in them as soon as next season.

Interesting times ahead, but needless to say the future is a lot brighter at Grope Lane now

interested to see the type of players you draft with those picks as i would gave a set criteria of players i was drafting with it being so important to the future of your team

We decided a month ago we will just them all ;)

9 picks, 3 main positions. It'd be logical to get 3 mids, 3 fwds and 3 defs imo. That's what I'd do, especially given the fact they've got so many in the first round where most of the key position, they'd be set for years if they made the right selections. Personally wouldn't take any more than 4 mids from the 9 picks, though it was obviously slightly depend on who was available. Definitely will be interesting to see how it goes and if it pays off.

Cheers mate.

If we get the DPP changes we expect DeGoey - fwd, Anderson -fwd, JMurdoch - def then we will be a force in 2016 and not the easy beats that we were this year. We also have a lot of quality depth now across the lines.  Been a busy trade period and hopefully we start seeing the differences starting 2016.

This approach we wont be following sorry Nige. We have had a clear agenda for a while now. We also have done a mock draft for BXV for the first dozen picks and know exactly who we will be selecting in which position.

To each his own. I'm not fussed what you do really. I really just stated what I'd do in your position. What you do in basically the entire first round of the draft has no bearing on my picks because they're all so late so I'm not even worried about you guys picking players I want which I otherwise normally would be.  :P

Still a bold strategy though and I like it when people take risks like that. I'll certainly be watching with interest.  8)

This strategy has been used once before ;-)

kilbluff1985

yeah sorry Nige but that wouldn't be the best strategy with so many early picks imo they can always trade players in future to suit team needs

Nige

Like I said, to each his own. I'm sure whatever Rids and nostra are planning will be quite effective and beneficial for Grope Lane going forward.
