Stick with Cover or Trade?

all this carnage this wknd I thought I had it easily covered... then out goes NicNat..

This is the best team I can field..

Def: Shaw, Rance, Picken, Newnes, KK, Hamling (Bob Murphy, Pearce)

Mid: Mundy, Danger, Ward, JPK, Selwood, Rocky, Cripps, Heeney (Fyfe, Steele, McKenzie)

Ruck: Gawn, Grundy (NicNat)

Fwd: Gray, Martin, Swan, Bonts, Tmitch, Bennell (Knight, Read)

With 6 trades and $220,000 left

Trade options.

1. Grundy to S Martin & KK to Hodge

2. Fyfe to Pendles/Priddis/Hanners &
KK to Hodge

3. Grundy to S Martin & Fyfe to Pendles/Priddis/Hanners.

What will generate the most points??
I like the idea of holding onto Fyfe if possible as he now has turned into a great POD.

I know!! just couldn't do it... I would have been spewing had he thrown out another 60, surely Big Stef will go 110+.

Yeah I agree Grundy is the obvious choice... although with Witts out against Carlton I think he can go over 100. & probably score more than KK will.

The way I see it...
It's basically down to Heeney score if I don't trade Fyfe,

vs Grundy (95ish) over Martin (110)
vs KK (90) over Hodge (115)

The best trades would be trades that allow you to not have Heeney and/or hamling on field this week, if you are looking for points this week and to keep Fyfe. Grundy very likely to score well, same as kk against the lions.
What that trade is, I'm not sure, but that's the angle I would be considering in your shoes. Probably involve trading Steele out.

I think I can afford

Steele to Adamson (Non playing D/M)
Pearce to Hodge.

Then when Fyfes back I will have

Hodge & Newnes (D7) covering Def/Mid

Mitchell or Bonts covering Mid/Fwd

Gawn covering Fwd/Ruck

& next week 1 - downgrade and Grundy to Jacobs/Martin

Actually I have to trade Steele to cheap M/F to keep that link... & McKenzie provides the M/D.

It leaves me 4 trades and $32,000

Only issue with this is I still have Cripps as M8 if NicNats out a few weeks. And Grundy still to move on..

So potentially 1 more downgrade that will get me $180,000 to upgrade Grundy and Cripps if required.
