McGoverns hammy was the difference in this game, if it had held up it would have be a very close result

Grazz

Good game of footy probably spoiled a bit by the weather but the contest was great.

Gigantor

Really surprised at how well Lycett did, another example of a ruckman who dominates when solo but spuds it up when number 2!

shower! Thats a holiday for LeCras :(

Will be a joke if he goes. Just watched the replay from the afl site and lecras barely gets him and pretty much stops. Barely any head contact was made. The think that knocked out Frawley was when Kennedy hits his head against frawleys milliseconds after. Hearing 3 down to 2 is a flowering disgrace, and what a surprise its from the Victorian commentators/ sports hosts. People getting one week for pull blooded punches to the head/ jaw.

I was watching with a bunch of crows and port supporters and they all agreed he will get a holiday. No Victorian bias there.

there hoping.....

I just hope the mrp actually watch the replay properly. Kennedys head knocks out Frawley... And the fact he has a glass jaw should be taken into consideration too...

If Johnson can get 1 week for taking 6 swings at Christensen and connecting a full blooded swing. Lewis for getting 2 for a cheap shot on Goldstein 10 seconds after he's marked the ball. Lecras was miles less than those 2 incidents. Anything suspension will be unjust and a disgrace.

I only saw the incident as it happened and thought it was  bit wreckless and initial thought is a week...hope not.  And it doesn't really matter, the MRP is a disgrace regardless of what result happens.  :(

Yep, they have lost the plot, they have over complicated it big time.

I 100% agree LeCra did his best to limit the contact once it became inevitable you can see that clearly and also agree that the contact with Kennedy a millisecond after would of compounded the original contact. Can't lie to you though i think they got it right with one week. That kind of contact with the head in the position is dangerous very dangerous, I shiver when I see it. I was old enough to remember a bloke called Neil Sachse and although different mechanics in the contact we need to be strict with this sort of bump to the head and the MRP need to be consistent which they are not. I do feel for Leca and others at times that cop a ban, often it can be to late to avoid it.

The_Captain

I rckon a fine at most... Once he made contact he has pulled off and basically stopped when contact was made. Watching the replay in slow mo, I reckon he has got shoulder too, no head contact.

I agree with you, the head needs to be protected. But it's not like leca was steaming ahead full speed gunning for Frawley while he bent over to pick up the ball. lecras was already heading in that direction and did everything he could to minimise impact and at the same time not injur himself. It's a pity, it should,be challenged, but with 2 weeks at stake and the mrp going the way they are this year... I wouldn't challabge either because there likely to change it to 6! Reckon it would of been a different story if it was franklin, fyfe, Goodes making the contac.

Can't argue with you really mate, i just think if we want consistency from the MRP them he has to go. A casualty of war so to speak. Leca is stiff not a malice bone in his body, very fair player but we all want consistency.

Yeah consistency is key and haven't had that for a few years now. They need to go back to how it was before the points system and the bull shower about intent, impact force blah blah. Just look at an incident and assess. Then use past incidences and rough precedence.

Ah well, no,leca Nic nat and gov is gonna hurt. But they will be without McPharlin. Just need Sinclair and Barrass to do there job.

Barrass walked straight in and looked like he'd been there all year.
