Okay Hastings, what have you got?

1992.5 * 0.7693 = 1,532.83 which is our highest score this tournament by a fair margin.

Round of 16 Final Results
(Drag image to new tab to view)
I may have made a mistake so let me know if you see one.

UAE Dominate
UAE Tigers(1595.53) Defeated Macedonian Wolves(1358.22)
Final Scores:

The Tigers had some massive scores including Swan(211), D.Martin(166) and S.Martin (162) to completely overpower the Wolves in this one. Wolves and all other teams who got knocked-out this week can hold their head high as making it to the Round of 16 can be considered a success. The Tigers however will be looking to the final 8 and beyond.

Reideers Take Over Behind Swan
PNL Reindeers(1500) Defeated Mexico City Suns(1480)
Final Scores:

A very tough week for the Suns, going down in both WXV and the Champs League. How about PNL though? Their scores so far read; 1483, 1438, 1529 and now 1500! That is some sort of consistency and this will hold them in good shape moving further along in this competition.

Brewers Scrape Through
Berlin Brewers(1322) Defeated Oxford Owls(1183.06)
Final Scores:

Both teams played pretty badly but in the end where were those Owls? 1183? That might be the lowest score of the whole comp so far! Brewers will be glad they didn’t have a slightly harder opponent as they only would have beaten 1 of the other 14 teams this week with that effort.

Bears Win AXV Thriller
Bangladesh Bears(1504.75) Defeated Australian Ales(1484.75)
Final Scores:

What a close match this one was! Two AXV powerhouses battled it out and the Bears behind a massive Sunday performance by Garrick Ibbotson saw them home by just 20 points. Can the 2 time AXV Premiers add a Champions League trophy to their collection?

Dublin Roll On
Dublin Destroyers(1594) Defeated Swiss Storm(1317.68)
Final Scores:

Storm with the 3rd lowest score of the week just isn’t gonna cut it against a team like Dublin. Can anyone beat Dublin? The clear favourites to win it all are now just 3 wins away from Champions League glory.

Eskimos Raise Bar
Kathmandu Eskimos(1533.21) Defeated Hastings Hurricaness(1341.86)
Final Scores:

The Eskimos had Duryea(29) on field which means they could have got even more which is scary for anyone who is versing them. The Hurricanes’ injury list finally caught up with them and they’ll be on the way home. Perhaps after a few parties on Copacabana Beach?

Badgers Smash Weakened Crocs
Bradford Badgers(1490.74) Defeated KL Crocodiles(1384.74)
Final Scores:

Badgers just keep rolling along doing their thing. KL perhaps a pre-tournament favourite, couldn’t hang with Bradford and would have loved to have GAJ or Beams on the park instead of Matt Rosa. The Badgers have had some good scores with some of their guns underperforming. If they can get it going they may be the ones to win it all.

Saints Go Big
Christchurch Saints(1559) Defeated English Lions(1344.03)
Final Scores:

Perhaps meow was just bluffing his way through the group rounds? This sort of score doesn’t go unnoticed though and the Saints prove why they are at this stage.

Again if you see any mistakes let me know.

Purple 77

Oh wow, 3rd lowest score and I progress!

I wrote us off definitely after the week I had... now I get Fyfe back next week >:D

And great work as always Levi!

And for my Hurricanes? Ah well, I never said the Champs league was a sure thing.

Dublin, Mexico City, PNL, Macedonia, England, Huddersfield, Winchester, KL, Australia and UAE would be the stronger teams

You were saying?
