Last Premium Def Options - Best option for finals

Need to upgrade B.Smith from a current backline of
Shaw, Hodge, Ibbotson, Hibberd, Smith, A.Pearce (Hamling, McKenzie)

thinking of trading McKenzie out with options of Picken, Rance, Laird, Higgins, Houli, etc (listed in order of preference so far)
Thoughts?

Yeah agree TBH. I wouldn't won't those blokes taking up my D5/6 spots in finals

Agree with the above, Pearce is not someone you want going into finals on the ground. Was interesting to see Lyon throw him fwd last week and he did ok, may see a higher avg from him due to that but if he goes back again his scores aren't good enough to be on the field, once Johnson is back he may not have a spot at all in the Freo team unless he can cement a spot up forward between now and Johnson's return which is very close listening to Lyon. Smith is another liability for you, will take a bit of coin to upgrade the both of them though.

Get Picken. 3rd best defender atm behind Shaw and Hodge. Wish I had him.

For finals I would be all over Simpson. Who i brought in.
But i've already got  Heater, Hodge, Picken, Higgins, gibson, simpson

Was thinking about trading out McKenzie for Picken first then a downgrade in mid to free up cash for simpson in next week for Smith?
