Thoughts on kelly guys?

His notching up the touches last 2 games which is main reason he has back to back 100's. Is he playing more midfield or whats changed since his been back. I haven't seen the cats play last couple of weeks so want to know others opinion on him.

Alot of talk about him at the start of the year. Due to low trades am thinking of missing hodgey and saving the 230k.

This decision will break/make my team, need help.

He can't score anyway near what Hodge is capable of scoring, that's a given.  But if he can stay healthy he'll average 80-100, which to me is acceptable at his price.  What you won't get is Kelly, if he can stay injury-free, having a couple of weeks off leading up to finals, which you will most likely have to deal with in Hodge's case.  That would mean possibly using another trade or, at the very least, using a bench player to cover for a missing Hodge.

Team is

Defense - Shaw picken simpson birchall smith hamling (Edwards, Pearce)

Midfields - fyfe pendles danger rock jpk sloane ward GAZ (Krak, heeney, lambert)

Rux - Nnat Goldy

Forward - Gray martin swan goddard mitchell Steele (Daniel, lamb)

5 trades left. Was thinking GAZ - Priddis, Hamling - Kelly.

Leaves 40k 3 trades with Steele left to upgrade.

Yeah with Smith, Hamling, Steele, Gaz and Mitchell all in your team I'd definitely be saving the cash with Kelly

I'm considering picking up Kelly for Smith.

Last couple of weeks have been pretty good, and I can see him keeping that scoring up with Geelong's midfield brigade all back in the side.

He had a shocker against North earlier in the year, but his un-subbed scores for the rest of the season have been good enough for a D6. Paricularly if his floor is around 80, whereas Smith's seems to be around 50-60.

If you've got the trades, go for it. Kelly is no spud and Geelong should be pretty motivated to make the finals with a few of the old champs possibly retiring this year.

Agree.  With the smell of finals in the air, we can expect the Cats to improve accordingly.

Traded him in for Hibberd last week. Even if he only averages as much as Hibberd I mad 100k out of it. Kelly certainly ha the ability to find the ball and to avg 85+
