So how is finals going to work this year? There is still 5 weeks of the season left so I'm not sure why there isn't 1 more week of matchups?

Because I made an executive decision to have us not play in round 23 because so many players get rested and a lot of teams just have a laugh if they don't need the win, so not playing the gf that week would make the gf a better indicator of the best team, not just the one who got luckiest regarding r23 outs.
