Hi guys,

Struggling with this one.. Sitting on 5 trades, $205,700 in the bank.

Will be going Krak to Knights or lambert for $$ and cover however not sure which of the following will give me best bang for buck?

Option 1 - Wines to Ablett
Option 2 - Lonie to Bartel

Current mid and forward line looks like this

Mids: fyfe, Pendles, Mundy, ward, Rocky, Parker, JPK, Wines (Krak, Dumont, Mckenzie)

Forwards: gray, Martin, swan, Goddard, buddy, Steele (Lonie, McKernan)

If I go with Option 1, I will probably have to settle for playing one of Steele, Lambert or McKernan at F6 permanently..

If I go for option 2, I miss on Ablett!

Help!

Hmm, as awesome as Ablett is, I think you should complete your forward line first. Would rather field Bartel and Wines than a rookie and Gaz.

How much cash would that leave you with? Perhaps look at bringing Ablett in before finals.

If I went Lambert over Knights, It would leave me with 168K and change. Not sure that gives me the oppurtunity to get Gaz in later..

If my estimates are correct, I should be 10 points better off with Ablett over Bartel? With the added Ablett perma captain as a bonus

Gaz over Wines gives ~+40 ppg
Bartel over Steele gives ~+30 ppg

meow meow

Steele is a chance of copping a green vest or getting dropped after a bad game. Bartel is the man.

Good luck TK I'm in the same dilemma but with Lewis. I can straight swap Cripps for Bartel (F6) and have Lewis at M8 but miss out on GAJ, although will be able to bring him in in week 1 of the finals. Or Lewis and Cripps for GAJ and rookie and have to play Lambert/Steele at F6 until week 1 of the finals. At this stage I've gone Ablett but have up to 7.50 tonight to change my mind.

Thanks, at least I have till tomorrow to make the call!

I can mitigate the Steele being dropped/vested risk as I also have Lambert and McKernan who can roll through F6 and will probably average the same. Or I can alway upgrade one of them later to an F6 keeper with my spare 168K..

I know I'm talking myself into getting GAJ bit by bit every time I post in this thread. Hahaha

I don't think GAJ over Wines is quite worth 40 points. I would say both trades are points wise pretty similar, +~30 points. Probably a slight edge GAJ's way. BUT I think meow meow's point is crucial, Wines and Bartel will play so long as they stay fit. Steele could be vested or dropped, and the suns season is done so if GAJ touches up his shoulder again I suspect he would be mothballed. Forget the Ablett captaincy as there are other players you can roll the dice on, don't include that in how many points you think you'll get from him. I think Bartel is your best option and look at GAJ as a finals upgrade if you can.

Full disclosure - I'm getting both GAJ and Bartel this week :P

Hopefully you didn't trade out Lewis..

I'm in the same kinda situation...

Was going to trade wines to Ablett
Or
McKean to Bartel/God

As much as I wanted Ablett think for both of us to have Jimmy playing and our rookies as bench cover would gain as more points.

I'm going to go Jimmy or really considering Goddard for $20k cheaper???? and get Ablett during finals as have 3 trades left after today and if I have to downgrade to the cheapest SC player available playing or not and upgrade Wines during the finals to get Ablett I will.

Best of luck mate..

decision made..

I'm going to pass on Ablett and get Bartel in.

Trades this week

* Krak to Knights
* Lonie to Bartel

This will leave me with $221,000, which "should" leave me with enough to upgrade someone to GAJ before finals.

Hopefully I dont regret this..!

Yes mate traded out Lewis instead of Sellwood :'( So I went Gaz and will go Bartel in 2 weeks. One of us will be right...at this stage it is you.
