POLL: What Trade option should i choose? Or other suggestions

4 Trades left and 100k in the bank

Okay, so i need a bit of help, im stuggling to decide what to do
Im happy with my defence cover, ruck cover and FWD cover. In a bit of strife in the middle with NO cover. I also want to upgrade Smith.

Option 1 - Bite the bullet and hold trades until finals. Minimum i want for finals is 2.
Option 2 - Not worry about Midfield cover and trade Smith to Birchall. Not sold on wasting a trade to get Birchall.
Option 3 - Trade out Boston to a Knight or Laverde. Both should play consitently with 40-60 point coverage. Hold Smith
Option 4 - Trade out Boston to a Knight or Laverde. Both should play consitently with 40-60 point coverage. Trade Smith to Picken, Rance, Enright, Yeo. Can afford any defender.
Option 5 - Trade out Boston, Move Steele to mids bring in a non playing forward. Allows a loophole on Lonie and Steele plus mid fwd link. Hold Smith
Option 6 - Trade out Boston, Move Steele to mids bring in a non playing forward. Allows a loophole on Lonie and Steele plus mid fwd link. Trade Smith to Picken, Rance, Enright, Yeo. Can afford any defender.

The one thing i dont want is to get caught short in finals and not have any trades left for injuries, but im also in a scrap to stay top in my cash league and take home the ladder prize & Points prize.

If you have other options i could do id love to hear your thoughts.

So many options!

I think I'm definitely leaning towards option 1, 4 trades isn't heaps and with 100k mid cover isn't necessarily an issue, just trade someone out if they go down...

However, options 5 and 6 both have some appeal too. the M/F link essentially lets Steele cover 2 lines, and Smith appears to be a bit of a waste of space.

If you're in a comfortable spot (ie set to make league finals, but not too concerned about overall), I would hold.
If you're in an ok spot (set to make league finals but really more concerned with overall) I would toss up 5 and 6. Advantage of 6 is likely to get more points but also 2 trades is a bit dicey.
If you're in a bad place (need to trade to make finals, overall is a distant dream) option 6.

2 is definitely a waste, 3 and 4 I just think if you're going to trade then getting a M/F link is the better way forward.

i personally think you should hold em, who knows who could get injured, and if its one of your premos, using a trade at that point in time will give you better options.

From my perspective you absolutely need to address your lack of midfield cover, with Knight on the bubble this should be a no brainer, Steele can then be alternated and I think he's good for 80 a week. This move should be non negotiable. 

The next two issues I see are Smith & a lack of Gaz. Can't see you making any impact without Gaz but it will entail offloading a decent performing mid, Heppell is the one to go all things considered.

That effectively leaves you with Smith to worry about but I think you can hold off for a week. By my reckoning you will still have 80k which should be enough to upgrade Lever to Kelly next week. Move Smith back to D7 and you will have some decent depth in defence. One trade doesn't sound like much but there are 2 weeks to go before the finals, do or die time.

Firstly im solid in finals for most leagues, Locked in top 4 for my 2 mains and finals for 3 others. 1 i am not able to make finals and the other im in a scrap with about 7 other teams, but should make it.
While Ablett is crucial if you are making a play for the overall, i dont think he is as much for leagues. I think it is more crucial to have coverage. At $700k he is just too expensive to be bringing in with a lack of trades. Getting the coverage in the mids and luxury upgrading smith i feel are my 2 biggest gain points in league based matches.
