J Selwood currently M9 and getting rid of him for a Back or Forward have 510k in bank 6 trades but not sure which line to strengthen and who
Ideas would be great. Cheers

B- Shaw, Hodge, Simpson, Ibbotson, Hibberd, B.Smith (Hamling, McKenzie)
F- Gray, Martin, Swan, Dalhaus, Goddard, Ryder (Steele, Daniel)

Obviously Steele/McKenzie DPP. Unsure to get a Houli or someone Back or get a higher avg. Deledio/Bartel FWD

Blues Blues Blues

I'd be looking at offloading Smith, he appears cooked

jumbo

Smith to picken, selwood to knight. Cash in bank for other upgrades in finals.

Even leaving me with 0 coverage?
Rance/Houli/McDonald better option than Picken? All a lot cheaper and avg. nearly the same

Rance and McDonald are key defenders, which is always a risk. Houli has been one of the most up and down players this year, and is coming off two extremely average score. Picken has 2 50's in his first two games that mislead his average, and has been an absolute beast since then, plus he plays a much more supercoach friendly role. Definitely much better than those 3, and more unique as well

I agree out of all of those Picken is the one id be looking to be buying in.

Been terrible this year! To make thing's worse i seen a article on the AFL site that the cat's may look to play him in a forward type role for the remainder of the year.

Really thinking of turning him into Gaz now, but I've also got Beams to now worry about.....

Really concerning. 3 trades left. To turn him into Jordan Lewis or not?

Just a note it was the possibility of more time up forward, not that he would play forward for the rest of the year.

Might actually score better playing more forward..

he actually isnt doing too much different this year stat wise

2014: 25.4 touches  4.6 Marks 0.95 goals
2015: 23.2 touches  2.5 Marks 0.7 goals

thats 2.2 less touches, 2.1 marks and 0.25 less goals a game.

If he can pick his marks and goals up a game (which is possible if he goes forward) than he could boost his average. All he needs to do is kick 1-2 each week and that will boost his average up.

Maybe also the fact Geelong aren't travelling as well as previous years could be hurting his scores

jfitty

Maybe give Selwood a few weeks and re-assess then.

The talk of him playing forward could mean anything really, but this weekend will be the first game he's played in ages with both Duncan and Bartel in the team, thinking that will be a big help

This and the fact he isn't getting all those clutch points at the end of matches. Still rate him though and think he'll bounce back, his form hasn't been terrible.

Surely if you've kept Selwood for this long you have to back him in now since he's had 3 weeks off out of 4 so his sore hand should be fully healed by now and also that Bartel and Duncan are back to help him out a bit.

I'm backing him in for the long run.....
