SYDNEY Swans midfielder Luke Parker will contest a rough conduct charge at the AFL Tribunal on Tuesday evening.

Parker was charged by the Match Review Panel after making contact with his foot to Hawk Grant Birchall in a marking contest last Saturday night at ANZ Stadium.

Parker was fined $1500 for the transgression, which he will be required to pay if he is unsuccessful at the Tribunal. He could have accepted a $1000 fine with an early guilty plea.
