A Question for fellow BXV coaches.........

Very curious as to why no-one rates Tory Dickson?

We have put his name forward a few times when people have inquired about fwds, he's met the age and average requirements and still no interest, is it just because he's unfashionable or is it that he's just not a "name" player?

Kicked 50 goals this year, best 22, solid average, Etihad specialist and really can play.

........any feedback would be good 8)

Cant say for everyone else, but the reason i wouldnt be interested is because he pretty much gets all his points from goals, which i think he will kick less of when (if) Boyd reachs his potential + Stringer, crameri and Redpath. Having said that he doesnt need many oppotunities to kick those goals. Plus he turns 29 really soon, getting in someone whos 29 yet still not that good of a scorer isnt probabaly in a lot of teams radar. :)

I would also like to add that i do rate Tory Dickson, he makes the most of his opportunities and is a great addition to the doggys fwd line, but just not fantasy wise

Dickson only turned 28 a couple of weeks ago. Which means he has a good few years left and makes perfect sense as decent fwd depth.

Nostra and I have discussed this a few times and dont get it. He is reliable, scores well enough and best 22.

I'm a huge Tory Dickson fan, more so than most I reckon. Just don't really rate him that well as a fantasy prospect and don't really think I need him in my team. Definitely a big fan of his ability as a player and what he has done so far with the Dogs.

I'm sure I'm not the only but we are after a starting forward and Dickson is a depth one which atm I am not interested in acquiring,it's something I'd consider after we know positions for next season.

16 teams in BXV. 4 fwds on field. 64 spots to be filled.

Will be interesting to see what happens with positions but guys like Ziebell, Motlop, ZMerrett etc will more than likely lose fwd eligibility.

Dickson might even be a starting fwd in 2016 for most teams based on 2015 average.

An average of 91.27 in the scoring format for next year is pretty fantasy relevant in my eyes ......... more than adequate as bench cover for most games, except for ones at Etihad ;)

What do you guys think Goddard will be? Mid or Mid/Fwd?
Started the year predominately in the fwd line but finished in the mid mainly. I think he will be a mid but could be a sneaky chance of a fwd status?

I rate Dickson as a player but hes the classic case of a player with zero upside. Turns 29 next season, coming off a breakout year. At best he will maintain his average, but that would likely require the Dogs to maintain their position on the ladder and/or Stringer/Boyd/Redpath/Crammers to all have roughly identical years to this year. Not a value buy and not someone you'd be comfortable relying on demanding a premium price.

My two cents anyway.
