Sadly joined a few weeks back, and have 5 injured mids as we speak, which resulted in 2 donuts and a 17 (sub) on field. Here are my trades due to injury,

Also arrived on Friday with Oxley to D Roberton. It's a 2450 to 2550 team at the best so just going through the formalities. showerloads of injuries and a total miscalculation on Gold Coast players - - would love to say more about that but I'm still healing. My worst year ever by big bloody heaps in SC. Scored a 2649 in the first 6 weeks of my first season, 14 off the moolah. Haven't even scored a 2500 this year. 2016 cannot be any worse so the only way is up. I'm on the waiting list for one left ankle fusion and two knee replacements, but the way this year is going I could be in the Sabretooth Tigers line up next week. Used my last trade on the weekend - Buddy to Gawn. Happy with that move as it gives me DPP for ruck too

It was a rough weekend with 4 of my players out (Fyfe, Buddy, NicNat, Murphy) but Edwards provided great cover down back, Lambert was serviceable for Fyfe, Gawn came in for NicNat but Dale scoring a whopping 1 really hurt but hopefully I wont ever need to rely on him again

Made it to the prelims in my cash league even with Dale LOL, so hoping I'll be full strength for the remainder of the finals

Just completing my 6th year of FF and even though I have a top 500 finish to my credit 3 years ago, I feel the game has evolved considerably since then and has become much more difficult. So much so that I feel like next year I'll need to reinvent some of the ways I go about things, and it will be all about saving trades. Either that or, once again, die a slow painful death. Dealing successfully with the bye rounds, as well as plans to deal much more effectively with the ever increasing number of injured and/or RESTED players are the two areas where the most trades can be saved.  Earmarking the right rookies, to my mind, has actually become a little bit easier probably because of their increased exposure in the pre-season. If you keep your eyes and ears open, the footy press and FOX seem to hype up the likely types well before they're selected. I'm starting to come around to the idea that we may have to be prepared to carry one more rookie per line than we have been used to, so making positively sure I have the right mix is going to be the big challenge for me next year.

I have 3 trades left after trading Nic Nat to Martin and Steele to Ziebell,fingers crossed now.
Not bad considering I did a lot of injury trades.

I'm one trade away of joining you guys. Had four premiums out last week (Wines, Nicnat, Lids and Fyfe). Traded Wines and Nicnat and still had to field Lambert and Knight. Lost my cash league by 30 points. Ouch! Make or break now, need some luck!

Going through my trade history.. 15 injury trades, think that matches with the best of them? Although some weren't wise, I did have Lewis riding the pine during his suspension so my hand was often forced.

I think I've only made 5 legitimate injury trades

I've had other players get injured but I would've traded them anyway within a week or two so I don't really think they count

Yeh agree with that 100%, can not count rookies etc that you would of traded anyway wether you got top dollar or not can't count them.
