Was planning on using no trades this week but with Saad out again, I don't really want to play Lever for a 3rd week.

Hodge, Shaw, McDonald, Newnes, Simpson, Saad. (Lever, Hamling)
Fyfe, Hannebery, Pendlebury, Beams, Armitage, Ward, JPK, Rockliff. (Steele, Dumont, Lambert)
Naitanui, Maric. (Read)
Gray, Swan, Martin, Dahlhaus, Bont, T.Mitchell. (Dale, Knight)

$40,700 Remaining and 3 trades left.

Issues are pretty obvious - No Goldy, No Gaz, and Saad.

Probably have to forget about Goldy cause he's basically 300k away from Maric.

I can go Saad - James Kelly and Beams - Gaz which leaves me 4k. I am a bit reluctant to trade Beams but his shoulder is a worry and Gaz is a must.

Thoughts guys?

If the Beams injury is affecting him as much as most seem to think,I think they're great trades, but you will have to have some luck from here injury wise.

Yeah, it's pretty tempting. I'm going for overall and I dropped about 1.6k places to 4,106 due to my shower week so need to do something to improve my ranking. Bit worried about only having one trade left but Steele covering Mid/Fwd should be good and Lever is serviceable in Def with good JS but no ruck cover is a worry. Kelly should be good for a 85-90 avg as well.

Screw it, I'm doing it!

Good move, you just bought yourself a permanent captain.

I must admit I feel more secure having prema captain Ablett back into my team plus Downie as decent ruck backup thanks to Bullys brilliant trade idea.  8)

Jezz becomes Kelly for me.

Down to 2 trades now.

Please help

defence needs a bit of work this week only problem is i only have 2 trades and 50k left to trade with

Def: Shaw, Tmac, Newnes, Yeo, hibberd, Smith (hamling, beasley)

need to get rid of hibberd i reckon i can cop smiths shower scores hoping he can ton up again
Option to go to malceski/kelly and pocket 120k for my last trade which i will hold onto.. or to go to birchall, gibson, Houli, hurley

let me know

I would go Kelly and pocket the cash, could come in handy for that all important final trade.

Didn't plan on doing any trades, but with Beams coming out and more or less saying that surgery could be an option in the coming weeks, now is the time to eliminate that risk/doubt and bring in GAJ

Pearce to Fields and Beams to GAJ

jfitty

I'm down to 3 trades, but really hating having Brodie Smith in my team still with no money to play spend..

I'm coming up with a devious plan to downgrade a premium to another premium to free up some cash, then go Smith to Malceski.

Stupid? Yes! But need to win my remaining league games to make the 8 in a few leagues, only a few rounds to go before finals.

Gigantor

Clark>Knight
Beams>GAJ

Leaves Cripps at M8, 3 Trades and about 110K in the bank, Saad D7/M9 cover

OR

Saad>Knight
Cripps>GAZ

Stronger on field team, 60K in the bank with weaker cover and Beams a risk.

I'd go with Option 2. Points on the park is more important. As for Beams, if he does eventually get shelved then he will be easy to sideways to a premo, and with 3 trades still left after the two you do this week that's fine

I really want to go option 2 but I'm concerned that Beams might play another month, bleed cash and then call it quits 3 games out.

BE is only 129, so wont drop much cash at all. If he gets subbed early and drops 30k or so, then he will be easy to sideways as his value is still over 600k atm

Jesty

ATM I've gone Hamling to Walsh via Hodge to the backline. walsh being cheaper but not ideal to afford Bennell> GAJ. But if  Bennell is named as a starter then I will consider Beams to GAJ and get a better rookie for hamling.
Will leave me with just Steele as m8 with 3 trades left. Looking at the next 2 weeks I should finish 4th in my main league so all going well I will up grade steele as late as possible.

Agree with RD Option 2 is much better IMO

poolboybob

If I want to upgrade to Ablett I have to do it with one of premium mids. Who should I trade out from:
-Neale
-Heppell, or
-J Selwood
