PLEASE HELP...

JSelwwod/Lewis to Ablett

Or

McLean (out for 6 weeks) to Goddard and put McKernan on bench as ruck-Forward cover

I think option 2 is better just but really want Ablett but is it worth it
I know at first glance it seems 'counter-intuitive' but option 2 is clearly better on the (likely) numbers imo ...
McKernan is a definite 40-60pts range player whereas BJ can get a consistent 100 with some possible 120+ games in him - McKernan doesn't have anywhere near that ceiling ...

Jelwood and Lewis are solid 100pt players again with possibility to go huge - I understand that GAJ is a consistent 120+ threat with upper level 150-180pts but I think more realistically you're looking at a ...

* 20pt differential for GAJ > Jelwood/Lewis; vs
* 50pts differential for BJ > McKernan (if I split the middle and say that McKernan is good for around 50pt avg) ...

this is 'all other things being equal' - for sure all players will have stinkers and all players (save McKernan) have the potential to go big - just my take on it, you would obviously insert your pts ratings above to make your own choice ...  8)

good luck!  ;)

I would go Kelly and pocket the cash, could come in handy for that all important final trade.

Going boston>knight this week as I have no dpp link with my mids...

To Ablett or not to ablett? 4 trades 230k full premo team, m8 is Heppell.

GoLions

Thinking of going Boston down to a rookie, and upgrading Lever in defence, finishing my team with 4 trades left and Saad/Steele/Daniel as cover.
Alternatively can just upgrade Saad with 1 trade, but leaves me with worse cover and probably limits my options to bring in this week.

Hey FFers, I would welcome a bit of your sage advice this week. 6 trades remaining. Team as follows-

Shaw, Picken, Simmo, Newnes, Ibbo, Hibberd (Lever, Pearce)

Fyfe, Pendles, Danger, Ward, JPK, Wines, Rocky, Steele (Lambert, McKenzie, Dumont)

Goldy, Nicnat (McLaren)

Gray, Dusty, Lids, Dahl, Swan, Tmitch (McKernan, Knight)

I'm considering three options-

Lever to Gaz via McKenzie. Only one trade used, but only the non playing McKenzie and low scoring Pearce as Def cover.

McKernan to Downie, McKenzie to Gaz. Average cover across all lines.

Hibberd to Kelly, McKenzie to Gaz. Average cover across all lines.

I'm leaning towards one of the second two options and hope four trades is enough for the season. I suppose it comes down to is Kelly a better option than Hibberd from here on in!

If anyone has a better idea I would be glad to hear it! Cheers and beers! :D

Can you do McKernan to Harmes/mid rookie via Lambert (Have Knight, Steele and Lambert covering M9 and F7) and then McKenzie to GAJ? Leaves Lever for cover too

He has Knight already, I like Hibberd to Kelly, I think that's 10 points gained and 100k, you can't ask much more than that.

RaisyDaisy

You quoted me before I edited my post, and posted after I edited it ;)

Hibberd to Kelly or Eski isn't a bad idea too

Cheers fellas, if I went Harmes it would leave me no cover in Rucks. Hence Downie. Downie is scoring the same as McKernan anyway and would net me a hundred grand or so. I like the Hibberd/Kelly option, but I'm a bit worried about Kelly breaking down again. Thought about Malceski also, but I'm not quite sold on him yet. Whatever I do will be a bit of a gamble I guess.....

Definitely option 3!

TomK

Was planning on using no trades this week but with Saad out again, I don't really want to play Lever for a 3rd week.

Hodge, Shaw, McDonald, Newnes, Simpson, Saad. (Lever, Hamling)
Fyfe, Hannebery, Pendlebury, Beams, Armitage, Ward, JPK, Rockliff. (Steele, Dumont, Lambert)
Naitanui, Maric. (Read)
Gray, Swan, Martin, Dahlhaus, Bont, T.Mitchell. (Dale, Knight)

$40,700 Remaining and 3 trades left.

Issues are pretty obvious - No Goldy, No Gaz, and Saad.

Probably have to forget about Goldy cause he's basically 300k away from Maric.

I can go Saad - James Kelly and Beams - Gaz which leaves me 4k. I am a bit reluctant to trade Beams but his shoulder is a worry and Gaz is a must.

Thoughts guys?

I say go for it, there's every chance you will need to trade Beams out anyway and there's every chance Gaz will be out of reach by then. Your team is rock solid but you have to get either Gaz or Goldy at some stage. Those trades will strengthen your team immensely and you can save the last for an injury trade.
