5 trades and a finished team is solid.
Clark to Bartel for sure.
Gaz for Sloane is fine but who are your other premo mids?  Sloane (when fit) is a guy who will push 120+ avg. Any other underperformers? Selwood maybe?

Cheers Piccollo - doing work in this thread! :)

My mids are currently Fyfe, Pendles, Hanners, Armo, JPK, Ward, Rocky, Sloane.

I agree Sloane is a gun but barring Rocky he is the worst performing on average, and not sure how well he'll slot back in after injury. And similar to RD, I either get Gaz this week or I'll be out priced (barring making another trade). I think it's a punt worth taking, really the only way it backfires is if Sloane outscores Ablett and I don't see that happening :P

I think it ultimately comes down to Pearce, and whether or not he is important enough to keep

The reality is he is only good for 50 points every week anyway, and I think long term TMac and Houli are both better options than Kelly. I think Kelly is good for 80+ most weeks and is solid from a scoring point of view, but I do have concerns over his durability

With Essendons season over, I actually don't see why Edwards wont continue to keep playing anyway

Having looked at your dilemma RD I think Pearce to Fields is the way to go. I think Houli can come back. You're taking a risk either way, but if you're going Houli to Kelly then you're rolling the dice with someone on your field every week, whereas if you go Pearce to Fields you're rolling the dice with someone who ideally never gets onto the field in the first place. The only thing I would say is that there's a lot of talk about the bombers trialling out lots of new players so I wouldn't be super confident in thinking Edwards will play every week, he might get dropped purely so they can look at others. But I think in your shoes I would still take that punt.

Great mids there Kiwi.  Booting sloane the way to go. He is better than the majority you have there but not by much and the injury issues do mean he'll be playing below his best for a week or two.  Not worth the risk in your case.

Thanks for all the input guys - I really do appreciate it

Still 50/50, but leaning towards going with my initial instinct of getting Fields

Same RD - think if your gonna get Ablett you need to go this week.

I will be making the trade from Beams -> Ablett, but to get there need a cash trade, going Amon -> Laverde or Prudden. Not sure on Harmes think his JS is worse than Laverde or Prudden.

I have no cash and only 3 trades with McGovern and no bench cover. I was able to afford either Malcho or Kelly surprisingly. Hello James Kelly.

Holden the ball

QUESTION

Is it worth trading out boston now to get knight or just leave boston hopes he gets a game or let it go and pick another defender later

Jesty

Can afford Bennel> Gaj or Beams> Gaj
which one? Any thoughts pls.

Knight is the last of the quality mid/forward rookies available, Boston looks done and dusted. Good trade.

well with Walsh sub there goes Bennell to Gaj, just short a few bucks. So will go Hamling> knights and wait and see how S Mitchell,  Hodge and Birch go tonight before pulling the trigger on Beams. If I can win this week should see me finish top 4 and hold my 4 remaining trades and see what happens with gaj in finals.

bensl

6 trades & 70k

cant decide to use one trade to go brown -> kelly (leaving hamling & maynard as bench cover)

or use two to go dumont -> knight & hamling ->kelly (leaving brown as cover)

thoughts?

thanks

Krak to Ryder this week. As a Bombers supporter I hate getting the bloke but ruck cover is ruck cover.

If I want to upgrade to Ablett I have to do it with one of premium mids. Who should I trade out from:
-Neale
-Heppell, or
-J Selwood
By a considerable margin, too.
Heppell or selwood

Heppells averaging 106 and last week was only one in a handful of bad games his had.

He's been ultra consistent.

No way would I be trading him out.  :o

The only reason I'd consider Heppell is because the Bombers are terrible and I'm worried that will hold his scores down. But there's not a lot of major ball winners in their side so I'll probably keep him.

So I'm down to Selwood and Neale. I just have a feeling that Selwood will come good, just like he did in the second half last year, especially since he should be really well rested now. He missed two straight weeks for the bye and the cancelled game against Adelaide, played one round, then missed last week through suspension. Reckon that playing one game in a month can really freshen a player up at this time of year. Plus he would've had a good score against North if he hadn't given away 6 free kicks.
