Updated team.

Craig Bird does come in! But, Pittard is out so Higgins swings back to cover.

Cooney isn't back so McCarthy plays at E3.

I have a funny feeling we could see some good scores in the reserves this week. Hope we've got selection right.

^ The New York thing is the kind of thing I don't like to see (not criticising, I would do the same thing).

But under the current rules it is better to name a small in the ruck in if he is basically your 15th worst player, and even though New York have 4 giants in the forward line (who I'd wager have all pinched hit before), they are penalised the same.

Still think it is better to have a simple catch-all rule (nominated forwards/backs who are 190cm+ have a 0.75 penalty instead of a 0.5) rather than getting complicated with height.

We'll have a vote on this when the time comes, but this is what I'd vote for

I agree Os, it sucks that we have to get penalised because our ruck is injured. With 18 teams there isn't exactly an abundance of rucks, and when teams only have one ruck we're eventually going to get penalised like now. Getting ruck depth is very difficult due to the amount of teams in WXV vs AFL teams and available rucks, so I agree the penalty needs to be reduced

Its not that hard. You need to look at trading in the real life back up rucks for your starter

I don't mind the rule but I reckon ppl just need to trade better

Berlin Brewers

D: Michael Hibberd, Colin Garland, Jarryn Geary, Jack Grimes
M: Nat Fyfe (C), Jack Steven (VC), Adam Treloar, Daniel Cross
R: Max Gawn
F: Lewis Jetta, Jack Watts, Marco Paparone, Jordan Murdoch
I: Jack Viney, Mark Jamar
E: Xavier Ellis, Jesse Lonergan, Jay Kennedy-Harris

Just an aside, my U2 bugs me every week. I want Crouch in the team  :'(

Also, if I had Dixon, Thomas and Petrie all back, that'd be nice too. In the mean time, PapaGun will carry the forward line.

The one AFL team ruck strategy is simply the best  ;)

This would be Berlin's 68th match, and I've never had an OOP ruck iirc  8)
