Who's No.1 Priority?

I would hold Bennell no guarantees on Max Gawn in my opinion so you might want to move him back to the bench eventually.

Goldstein is the player you need. Get him this week. Cripps is carrying Carlton now so expect a good score from him but you would want to move him on soon.

However I read the above comments and the idea of swinging Gawn into the rucks is a good one. Then you can use Grundy to trade to Rockliff (via Gawn and Steele). Then you have Mid cover and Steele in the fwds. Then with the 2nd trade Saad -> Hodge? Would only do this if you trust that Max Gawn will do the job for you.

KK has averaged 112 in the last 5, and after a slow start has averaged 96 in the last 11 weeks, with only one sub 80 score (against the Hawks in Tassie, but still 20 touches) - surely that's not a problem in any of the back lines this year? If you have him as an 'issue' you'd be top 10 for sure!

As I said if he keeps this scoring up then you'd hold him, but he's not a proven variable yet...I don't think he's so much an issue more could just be a productive move - but again have others ahead of him in the priority list. Would still back guys like simmo, heater, hodge to outscore him, if you can make the swap for minimal money/profit then you have to think about it, even if the decision eventually is no...

It sounds like Bennell will be in contention to be selected next week..

Trade or Hold?? Hmmmm....
What to do?!?!

Hold for sure. Again, I really don't know why you're considering trading a guy who is a) getting keeper scores b) being held out for disciplinary reasons, not form or injury and c) you have decent cover for, over a guy who's out due to injury and not getting keeper scores... Saad is no.1 to go this week. As PB said Cripps is carrying Carlton so your original plan of Cripps and Bennell to Goldy and Rocky is too far sideways for me when you haven't got a D6 playing... Yes Goldy and Rocky are great players but you'd be at 7 trades, no money and still have Wallis and Saad to upgrade, plus be relying on Gawn as a permanent F6... so unless you've got some real high value bench players, you'll kill your upgrade capacity fast.

Who is on your D bench to cover Saad? If you're determined to get Goldy I'd be tempted to trade Saad to Maynard and then Grundy to Goldy, bumps up your bankroll a little, should leave 300k ish? Then next week see what you can get for Wallis and Cripps with that money...

Yeah I hear what your saying...
Saad is a big issue,
Bench cover for him is not great Hamling & A Pearce.

Next week I was planning to downgrade Lonie to Knight giving me an extra $180k and another M/F link.

The reason I'm keen on Goldy is he is getting out of reach... is a lock in VC this week could easily go 160+ against Bombers.

Saad to Hodge/Houli/Simmo
Wallis to Rocky??

Or what if I really shake things up...
Taking ur advice..
Saad to Maynard
McKenzie to Daniel (Switch Bennell mid)
Leaving me $580,000

& next week
Lonie to Knight
Then I'll have a kitty of $760,000

With 6 trades...

Then look to
Cripps to Ablett
Grundy to Goldy
Wallis to Rocky/Hanners/Priddis/Arma
Heeney to Hodge/Houli/Simmo

Leaving Two trades...
With Bench coverage of
(Hamling, Pearce)
(Steele M/F, Maynard D/M, Knight M/F)
(Read R/F)
(Bennell F/M or Gawn R/F, Daniel)

I don't think you'll be able to afford that plan. Goldy BE this week 99, Ablett 119, Rocky 73, Hanners 73, Armo 86, Priddis 109, Hodge 35, Simmo 88, Houli 90. So essentially I think you can bank on all of your upgrade targets going up in price except for maybe Ablett and Priddis. So if you make 2 downgrades this week, then they all go up for the following week. Then one more downgrade means you can make 1 upgrade, and then another week or 2 before your remaining 3 upgrades. So you've got 1,2 or 3 potential price rises before you're looking to get you upgrades in...

Right now if you made those trades you'd probably sneak in with 780k:
Cripps to Ablett = 200+k
Grundy to Goldy = 200+k
Wallis to Rocky/Hanners/Priddis/Arma = 100+k
Heeney to Hodge/Houli/Simmo = 250+k

But given a few weeks of price changes, I think you'll be pushing it...

I ended up only doing 1 trade last week which was

Wallis to Rockliff

Now my team looks like this...

Def: Shaw, Rance, Picken, Newnes, KK, Saad (Pearce, Hamling)
Mid: Fyfe, Mundy, Danger, Ward, JPK, Selwood, Rockliff, Cripps (Steele, Heeney, McKenzie)
Ricks: NicNat, Grundy (Read)
Fwd: Martin, Gray, Swan, TMitch, Bonts, Gawn (Bennell, Lonie)

I'm hoping Bennell and Saad return this week... If that is the case do u think these two trades would be best

Lonie to Knight
Cripps to Ablett

Switch Gawn to Ruck
Grundy on bench
Bennell M6

Def: Shaw, Rance, Picken, Newnes, KK, Saad (Pearce, Hamling)
Mid: Ablett, Fyfe, Mundy, Danger, Ward, JPK, Selwood, Rockliff (Steele, Heeney, McKenzie)
Ricks: NicNat, Gawn (Grundy)
Fwd: Martin, Gray, Swan, TMitch, Bonts, Bennell (Knight, Read)

With 6 trades & $58,000

Appreciate your thoughts.. Cheers!

Adam Saad has already been ruled out this weekend - if you've still got him, what are you planning on doing with him?
