What are peoples thoughts on Rocky's ribs?

I need to get rid of Shiel, and Rocky vs Sidebottom is my dilemma

Rocky is the better scorer, and I'm leaning towards him, but I have already had him once for one lousy week and would be so angered if he burnt me again lol

Watched that game and he was in the thick of it with no sign of trouble. 27 posies, 11 tackles. Risky not to get him.

I have Dale who needs to go and I am thinking I will pass on Daniel for now and see how Knight goes, because the DPP with Steele would be very handy. Also have Lambert too so will have a lot of flexibility for cover

 G'day all. I have eight trades left and team almost complete. Not happy with my backs, mainly McGovern and Hibberd.
I'm getting Gaz this week and I'm about seven grand short of going McGovern to McDonald. :(

So the two options I'm looking at so far are-

Cripps to Gaz, hold the other trade and then Lever to a Rook and McGovern to Hodge or Picken in a week or so. This would leave my Defence as Shaw, Hodge, Newnes, Ibbo, Simpson, Hibberd (Pearce, ?) Dodgy cover.

The other option is Cripps to Gaz, Hibberd to McDonald this week. Then see how Malceski goes this week and take a punt on McGovern to Malceski or another defender around 420 grand next week (but who?). Then it would be Shaw, McDonald, Newnes, Ibbo, Simpson, Malceski (Lever, Pearce) This would leave me with Lever as decent cover. The worry is Malceski doesn't come good and I'm stuck with him or McGovern at D6.

Thoughts? TIA.

Dale had a blinder in the VFL, kicked 4 goals FWIW.

After deliberating on my terrible options at sub $410k to get Gazza with, I've decided to go with Jordan Murdoch.  I'd rather have a player with lots of talent than someone like Scooter that no-one rates.  High ceiling of Murdoch is a plus seeing as I'll be loopholing w/ JZ.

Really not sure whether to get Ablett and a FD (which I can use to loop a big score in mid/fwd lines), or whether to go for Rocky and Malceski, so I have 7 "premium" defenders. It will give me cover but the fact that I'll have no one to loop with the 7th defender on the regular week leans me towards Ablett. Too much stress in trying to choose the best 6 defenders each week, even though I could potentially have a fair bit of crap in my backline, with Ibbo, Hibberd and Smith as D4, D5, D6, all capable of dropping in a stinker.

So Hodge next week, keep Hibberd and a dodgy Bench or McDonald, Malceski plus Lever still on my bench as cover. I'm thinking Hodge and Hibberd sounds a lot better than McD and MalC. Screw the cover for now.

Edit.... Changed my mind again. ::) Decided to trade Cripps to Maynard or Glenn, McGovern to McDonald, the next week McKenzie or Dumont to Gaz. It will leave me with about a hundred grand to upgrade Hibberd a bit later and still keep Lever for cover. Also I unload one of my non playing mids.

Just means I'll have to field Steele this week, but I'm playing to bottom team in my cash league anyway. I'm happy with these trades now.
