I can afford Gaz, but I want to upgrade McGovern as well. I'm starting to think Hodge is a must have, but I can't afford Gaz and Hodge. I might have to look at downgrading another rookie, but then I would only have five trades left, after getting both Hodge and Gaz. Not sure what to do yet?

I'd try get both, 5 trades isn't a terrible amount at this stage

Have Brodie Smith, absolute spud. Is it worth using 2 trades (have 5) to get in Bob Murphy for him? 3 left is slim but 58 overall and trying to get as high as I can!

Jimmykidd

I've got Shiel but I'm hoping he gets up. I'll just play Steele if he doesn't. 5 trades left and I'm finals bound in my 2 main leagues so I won't be trading. Can't afford ablett :'(

Okay all I need some serious trade advice. Ablett is accessible to me....

Bennell > Ablett (Steele to fwd)
- 2 upgrades remaining, 1 Fwd and 1 Def.

OR

Bennell > Rocky and Saad > Hodge (Steele to fwd)
- 1 upgrade remaining, 1 Fwd.

Keeping in mind Ablett would regain the Perma-Capt crown and I would be expecting 250-300points through him a week.....

Hi everyone,

Can someone give me some trade advice for this week?
Current team
DEF: Shaw, Gibbo, Houli, Yeo, Newnes, Smith (Hamling, Colquhoun)
MIDS: Fyfe, Pendles, Priddis, Danger, Parker, Sidebottom, Rocky, Lewis (Cripps, Heeny, Mckenzie)
RUCKS: Goldy, Maric (COX)
FWD: Martin, Dahl, Tmich, Swan, Bont, Steele (Mckernan, Saad)
Trades left 7
Cash remaining 19k.

I need to fill that last forward spot so I'm thinking of either downgrading Heeny for Maynard or Saad for Daniel to generate a bit of cash for the Mckernan upgrade. What trades to do fellas?  :-\

Will be doing a downgrade in the backline (Hamling/McKenzie > Maynard/Fields) then upgrading Lever to McDonald.

Completed side, but only 3 trades left. Hope for the best  :o
Dont think Fields will be there next weekend. Looked like the game was too fast for him and I think Byrne gets a game before him as well

Have to wait and see for teams! If he survives Docherty coming back in I'll grab him

You'd think at this stage of the season Carlton will get some games into these young blokes.

I'd appreciate some trade advice from some experts for this week!

Current team:

H Shaw, Houli, Rance, Hibberd, Burgoyne, B Smith (Lever, Hamling)

Fyfe, Pendles, Rockcliff, Hannebery, J Steven, Wines, JP Kennedy, J Selwood (Steele, N O'brien, K Lambert)

Nic Nat, Maric (T Downie)

R Gray, D Swan, Buddy, Deledio, T Mitchell, Bontempelli  (H Bennell, Dale)

Only 4 Trades left and $203,600 cash

This week I really wanted to do:
Joel "Chickenwing" Selwood-> Gaz
and
H Bennell-> L Hodge in defence via Steele fwd and Burgoyne to mids as M/D cover.

That would complete my team to a point where I'm happy enough after all the injuries I've had to burn trades on. That would give me awesome DPP cover flexibility with Hodge-Burgoyne D/M and Steele-Bont-Lambert M/F.

Only problem is I'm about $20k short!

Should I just do Selwood -> Ablett this week and try to figure out how to bring in Hodge next week?

Or should I do this week:

Selwood -> Ablett
H Bennell -> B Maynard

Which would give me cash to do Hamling or Lever-> Hodge next week?

I'm doing Selwood to Gaz regardless but I feel like my backs (namely Hibberd, Burgoyne, B Smith) are too weak!

Any other suggestions I'm overlooking or might not have thought of?

Cheers in advance!

Instead of Hodge, grab Picken

Picken and GAJ

Hi guys,

Would appreciate some tips for next trades.

I have 9 trades and $193k. I'm thinking:
- Cripps/Bennell to GAJ/Sidey (leaves $13k - can't afford Rocky)

Leaves team as follows:

Def: Shaw, Simpson, Rance, Houli, Birchall, Oxley (Lever, McKenzie)
Mid: GAJ, Fyfe, Pendles, Beams, Hanners, JPK, Wines, Sidey (Sloane, Krak, Boston)
Ruc: Goldy, Nicnat (Mclaren)
Fwd: Gray, Dusty, Swan, Buddy, Steele, Lonie (Tarrant, Lambert)

Next week I'll probably upgrade Tarrent to Bartel by downgrading Lonie or Boston to a rookie.

Thoughts?

Alternative is to grab one of the rookies this week on the bubble (ie Daniel or Maynard?)

Thanks!

Holden the ball

thoughts on cripps to ablett and kraker to daniel

makes my mid fyfe, pendles, beams danger ward jpk parker and GAJ

Jesty

Going Hamling> hodge and Bennell> Sidebum. Leaving 4 trades. Will have to rethink if Harley playing.

Hi guys! After some advice.
I have Joel Selwood and Patrick Cripps as my 2 "weak" mids. Was all set to trade  Cripps to Ablett this week but now with Selwoods suspension I'm thinking I might hang on to Cripps, and upgrade Selwood to Ablett instead meaning I'll probably have Cripps for the rest of the year. Or should I just hold the trade for the following week and bench Selwood for the one week? Or still trade Cripps and bench Selwood for one week?!?!?!?

Interesting predicament. Selwood only out for 1, and Bartel back may help him. But with Gibbs out for season, Cripps will continue to feature at pretty much every centre bounce from here on in.
