Seoul extract Soul out of Beijing

Wow, What a performance from Seoul! Centurions on every line... they even had Tom Boyd contribute 33. I've always thought they were capable of this, but nonetheless this is an upset, and with potentially devastating consequences for the finals hopes of Beijing.

Nothing Holy in this Saints outfit

^^... because they have no leaks in this team! Ultra consistent, and the second time in a row they post a 150+ score (third time overall). I could go on and blame Fyfe (as if he got his average, I would have won), but really the Saints earned this one, and I bow my head. Not without first pointing out that this is the 5th time I've scored 140+ and lost, so yeah, flower you universe.

Late Sand Storm Blows Wolves away!

What an upset! Cairo have broken the losing streak! I never gave them a chance in this match (or for the rest of their matches in fact), but an incredible Sunday saw Cairo boosted by 4 centurions, and 4 Wolves combining for 203 points! What a turnaround, what a comeback... what a win for Cairo! Well done! For Toronto... this hurts now, but it might hurt a lot more later.

Cobras Brace For Impact

Cape Town are really only focusing on their hellish month coming up, evident by star midfield JPK being rested in preparation for that. They couldn't afford to lose, and they didn't, posting a par score to get it done over the Armadillos. Buenos Aires might even get the spoon yet with Cairo winning and New Delhi in good form...

Dublin Fleet dispatches Reindeer Hoards

Yes, 307 points were scored, but the result was never in doubt from about mid-saturday. If anything I'm a little disappointed. But hey, Dublin are worthy winners and with this result, all but gives them the minor premiership. I have a feeling ruckman Matthew Lobb will be wearing the Red-Nose of shame this week...

London over Rio, in brutal encounter

Each team certainly got their captains right (Hannebery & GAJ), and really were evenly matched on paper. But, the Royals had 2 more centurions and that was really the difference on the day; London were just the better team when it counted. Rio continue their fairly unlucky season, whereas London cling on to finals hopes.

The Gunfire stops, and the Sun Rises

The highest scoring match of the round was tight all the way through, but below standard performances from Moscow Co-Captain Armitage and benchie Clancee Pearce really let the Spetsnaz down, as Mexico City simply had performers across the whole board. This win was vital for the Suns top 4 hopes, as a loss probably would have condemned them to an elimination final.

Tigers lose competitive edge as Islanders Triumph

Developing teams are bound to have their lapses, and that's what New Delhi had after a very promising last 3 rounds. The Islanders will welcome the W, which has been harder to come by of late, and would be happy with a 140+ score.

I reckon we'll lose, but as we showed two years ago when we broke their streak we can do it! As long as we score 145+ I'll be happy, win or lose.

Revolution Pitchforks Overcome Samurai Blades

Another impressive performance from the Revolution, and a particularly disappointing one for the Samurai. Tokyo's inconsistency continues to hurt them, and as a result really diminishes their chance at finals. New York on the otherhand, are a lock for finals, and might be even a sneaky chance a top 4?
