Let me know if any of these are wrong! Would be helpful.

Players who I think will get the chop/retirement this year;

Likely;
1. Daniel Markworth ( Had high potential...But unless he can break into the seniors and show his worth... No real point in keeping him)
2. Lewis Pierce (Just can't get into the senior side, I feel that Jason Holmes is already ahead of him in the ruck department.)
3. Tom Simpkin ( Too many defenders ahead of him, and doesn't even play that great at VFL level)
4. Arryn Siposs (I wanted to like this kid. But he's just not at AFL standard.)
5. Spencer White ( He's had his chance, gets injured and then under performs for the rest of the year...Struggles in the development team...Not a good sign. )

Possible;
1.Sam Gilbert (Probably see us seeking a trade over straight out delisting him. Could be a good pick up for some teams. But not good for the direction the Saints are going in.)
2. Cameron Shenton ( Turn over king...If he can't get his kicking in form there is no point keeping him in the squad, he's like Clint Jones 2.0 but at least Jones could find the footy.)
3. Sam Fisher ( Could be the retiring year for this champion, with Goddard and Lee in the works could replace him at the end of the year)
4. Adam Schneider ( Has been playing very well in the seniors, but don't see us getting rid of any other Rookie at this stage)

Unlikely;
1.Sean Dempster (Still playing great football, but is starting to show his age at some points of the game)
2. Farren Ray ( Starting to slow down but still under 30 and can play some really good football)
3. Darren Minchington (Will probably get a 1 year contract extension or a trade option, handy player but there are players on our list who can do his job better than him. )

Yeah pretty much agree with you here except I think Fisher will get another year.
Schneider is an interesting one, hes been pretty solid this season and apparently is really vocal at training as well. Not sure if he can be retained as a rookie for next year just as like a player coach role for the young kids.

Interesting to see Acres still has 2 years on his contract. Every time I see him play he reminds of Pendlebury. Richo just keeps starting him as the sub!!

great work PK

I don't think Schneider gets another year. he's been absolutely fantastic and better than we could have hoped for (except of course for the missed goal against Essendon, but we got revenge so we'll let that slide) but I'd rather us play another kid in his spot.

if everyone is fit our forward line next year should look something like

Billings, Riewoldt, Sinclair/Membrey
Lonie, McCartin, Bruce

and as you can see there's already gonna be someone missing out (in the starting 22 anyway, they could obviously rotate off the bench and through the midfield)

I think giving Acres a 2018 contract was very smart. The home sick factor effects players in their 2nd or 3rd year. So it'll give him time to adapted properly to the Victoria lifestyle, instead of wanting to go back to WA.

I agree that Fisher will get a 1 year extension, he's been solid this year and doesn't seem to be playing injured. Schnieder is my #1 player in that Possible section that'll go. Then maybe a decent trade for Gilbert could be at hands.

Gilbert is probably keeping Wright out of the team atm. Both are similar players. Good runners who can get through the defensive lines but can also butcher the ball. Gilbert has currency still so would be decent to trade

Bill Manspeaker

I don't think Gilbo has much currency BS, 29 at the end of the year, a little injury prone of late. can't see us getting much for him

Gilbert is a really good intercept mark, and if he goes I think that Tom Lee or Hugh Goddard would replace that role, and Wright could even come into the back flank so Newnes can turn into that permanent midfielder that he's wanted for a last couple of years.

I think fisher will call it this year, he's 33 and we need to start blooding these young fellas a bit more. With Dempster and gilbo there it's hard to give Fisher a game and give Goddard and Lee time.
Same with shneids
Gotta give Sinclair Lonie billings Templeton the game time
