Not sure I understand what your point is

Gawn scored a 146 with Spencer in the team? Yes he scored poorly last week but I'd suggest that has far more to do with NicNat than Spencer

I'd say the no.1 thing is being played in his position. He's being played as the no.1 ruck this year, whilst in previous years Jamar has taken that role and Gawn was forced forward

Also helped by reaching that age where most rucks/key fwds start to kick on, as well as no injuries + full preseason
