That back step Wood makes has me worried. I keep thinking of how Roughy did his Achilles doing nothing a few years ago, and that move could easily see him strain a calf or something.

Jimmy was really good this morning, but he just bowls badly to Left handlers in comparison. Has to bowl around the wicket otherwise I think he's comparatively easier to play.

Reckon he was really good in his first spell? Thought he struggled a tad to be honest. Not usual Jimmy Anderson on a day 1 English deck.

Good in regards to swinging the ball.

Apparently this pitch is considerably slower than what they produced against New Zealand. Maybe they do want to take the 1-0 win??
