Isn't it obvious

1. Harris
2. Bancroft
3. Klinger
4. Voges
5. Marsh
6. Marsh
7. Whiteman
8. Agar
9. Behrendorff
10. Coulter-Nile
11. Johnson

Also,
'15: Number of times in the last 17 Ashes that the team taking a 1-0 lead has won the series. Exceptions were in 2005 and 1997.'
Weren't you guys all guaranteeing that Aus would win the series comfortably?
I can vouch for Jay as he has money on a 1-1 draw :P rest of them seemed confident and yes they might still win it 4-1 Jukes so let's not get too far ahead of ourselves. If Haddin caught Root on 0 I reckon it would be 1-0 Auatralia and it would've been an innings victory.

I had us winning 2-1, which is still a very real possibility

He's definitely nothing special, I mean none of his wickets have been him getting the batsman out, all the batsmen getting themselves out. Agree with Rusty, that was obviously a plan heading into the series and its backfired already, will need to reassess their approach towards Ali before Lords

Definitely a couple were the batsmen getting themselves out, his ball to Warner was an excellent one though. I never liked our chances of getting 400, and not surprised we lost by that much. Agree that maybe was a wake up call we needed. Changes for the next test? Siddle in for Strac maybe, which would hopefully give us more control and dry up the runs a bit. Surely mitch marsh has to come in, they said they picked watto because his bowling was more reliable, he did absolutely nothign with it cant even remeber him beating the bat.

Yeah I'd like Siddle out there but word has it Starc's ankle may not as be as bad as first feared - extra day rest will help

Disagree with Jay tbh, I'd prefer Mitch Marsh over Shaun, I rate M.Marsh as a bowler and will be definitely handy to have, a genuine wicket taking option so we don't have to turn to a tired Johnson/Starc to get the breakthrough time and time again. Yeah I think the reason Watto was picked was so he could tie up an end and have Starc/Johnson all out attack from the other without the fear of costing runs as the other end wouldn't be leaking any - but again, that backfired

I think if Siddle plays in the place of Starc he can definitely play that economic role and thus they can name M.Marsh with no fear of getting hit around a bit

I wouldn't mind seeing Nevill in for Haddin but doubt they'll make a big call like that this early into the series

Mitch Marsh in for Starc? Would they consider it?

Not with Siddle and Cummins in the wings you wouldn't think

There's no need to bat down to 10, Australia still have one of the best top orders in the world, they just didn't perform

The_Captain

never had a good record at cardiff.... We will bounce back and take the next couple.

Just let all the poms get ahead of themselves  :P

Oh, because Australia don't just build pitches to suit fast+aggressive+bouncy bowling?

Amazing, Australian cricket fans are never hypocritical at all...

Kellogscrunchynut

Last summers pitches were rubbish, could have just dug up a road and covered the pitch with it.

Donnie Brasco

ha ha, easy there tiger...

as Kellogs said, the MCG, SCG, Adelaide, etc., are all flat-roads, even the WACA and GABA aren't what they used to be...

let's face it, you guys were terrified! wasn't Cardiff quite green when it was inspected a day or two out?

Took the words out of my mouth Jay, was pretty happy to see Nevill get his debut but when I opened the article and saw "personal reasons" and he was deep in discussion with the psychologist before pulling out really leaves a whole range of possible reasons and hopefully its just something minor
