Devastated for him. Done so much hard work to get back :(

Wish him all the best post-cricket.

Ryano :'(

Looking on the bright side I guess it gives the selectors an easier job. :P

Why does it always have to be the good players  :(

Why couldn't it have been Nathan Lyon?

More like Shane Watson??

So pumped for this, less than 12 hours away  :D. I'm hoping for a contest, and England in their conditions are always tough, I think it will be closer than others think, I reckon we'll be looking at a 2-1 or something similar scoreline. Its been ages since we've won a series over there, hopefully this is the one

agreed with the 2-1 henry, no Rhyno hurts us but hopefully Mitchy slays and Hazlewood should bowl well over there

Yeah conditions should suit hazlewood, is in good form too. If Starc can bowl like how he has with the white ball in recent times, could be unstoppable, and johnno will hopefully bring up the mental demons again. For them Root looks like he will be the best batsman for the next decade, cook looks like he is back in some sort of form, stokes fights hard and buttler has been doing well, the rest are vulnerable though.

Only six of the England team that appeared in the final game of that series in Sydney will play here (name the full XI for the match, it is a good quiz question) while Australia are likely to have eight.
Hmmm ok let's see what I remember.
Cook, Carberry, Ballance, Bell, Bairstow, Stokes, Prior, Borthwick, Broad, Tremlett, Anderson

Root didn't play I remember. Ballance did because it was his debut. Borthwick I think was the spinner that came in for Swann. Or did they play Panesar then? Or both? Missing a batsman too, maybe Root did play?

So that means that Bairstow played the final test. He didn't keep I don't think. Final bowler wasn't Finn, I think Tremlett may have been in for that match.

Damn, 9/11. KP was still playing lol. Boyd Rankin was the bowler. Prior didn't play and Bairstow kept.

Don't have to read remember it.  We have not won an ashes series in England since 2001.  Just hope the English weather is not as influential as it was in that series.

Jukesy we still goin the bet?

Australia win - I win
England win - you win
Drawn series - no one wins (retaining the ashes is enough for me :P)
