Another idea I've had is instituting a reserves competition - everybody names 5/7/10 (one of them, undecided as of now) reserves players in addition to their emergencies and a reserves captain to field a reserves team for your side. After drafting and trading I'll get everybody to formally submit their list preferences so that if you don't name your reserves side (I won't make it mandatory or anything) I can take them from your list in order. Anybody have any thoughts on this? I'd prefer this than the worlds method of having every-non-XV player as a reserves as ain't nobody/me got time for dat!

If it does go ahead, I would like to see us follow Worlds by having each team have an independent name relative to their country/state or whatever. I think pretty much every team in our comp is from a different part of The Americas so it should be easy imo.

Hence why I'd have people name their list preferences at the start of the season, like in worlds, from which I can extract a reserves team if none is named. You can put as much effort into your reserves as you'd like!

I think pretty much every team in our comp is from a different part of The Americas so it should be easy imo.

Only potential clash comes from SF and Anaheim I believe, and I'm sure we could sort something out seeing as Cali's pretty huge!

Northern & Southern California (the two geographic areas are very different from one another so it should be good enough)

It's a bit of trouble though, because I'm sure that some team's prefer their city names (e.g. Ele would prefer the Boston Terriers to the Massachusetts Terriers - he could choose the New England Terriers though - Syd may not like the name change as well)

I'm sure they'd be able to stay as Boston and Las Vegas and take their reserves name from surrounding states - e.g. the Maine Bulldogs and Arizona Devils

Quick wiki search suggests they have two minor league affiliates: the San Diego Gulls and Utah Grizzlies
