If there is a re-draft, I don't like the idea of letting others trade into the re-draft. Let the coaches re-draft the teams first, then trade.

I agree, having as few coaches participate in the draft as possible will allow the draft to be completed ASAP and allow both of the new coaches to make trades with other sides.

Re: a possible redraft, I’m not going to put this to a poll as I think the sensible option is to not redraft Boston and Colorado. If both teams had new coaches it would be a good idea, but since Koop decided to stay on (and has expressed his wish to keep his list) it definitely makes sense to keep the two teams as they are.

But there’s still the consideration of a priority pick for Colorado that I’ll put to a poll in the near future.

Wanted to officially put it out there that former Boston coach elephants has joined the Colorado coaching staff for the 2018/19 off season. ele is a knowledgeable operator with a thirst for trading that we are looking to quench in the lead up to the draft, and it's hoped he can help set the Avalanche on the right path for 2019 & beyond!

Please include him in all future trade PM's. Cheers. :)

I would like to formally apply for an end of first round priority pick for the upcoming ND.

I had a think about it, and while I am usually against the idea (I opposed one last year), I realise I may need a bit of extra help to get the team chugging along again given how far back it is.
