With my final pick I select someone who I think is going to be the leader of his team and will take his game to another level.

Victor Oladipo

Jay

I cannot BELIEVE how one guy in particular hasn't gone yet... But just because of what my team currently is, I won't take him  :o
I'll take a guy with high upside that I think might explode this year.. Harrison Barnes

He's shown flashes of being an all-star quality player, and was consistently solid for Golden State last year. He's an excellent 3pt shooter, going at 41% last year and really improved defensively too - see: guarding Zach Randolph in the playoffs. He doesn't need the ball in his hands often so is a perfect fit for my team, plus he's in a contract year too. He's in a very similar spot to what Jimmy Butler was last year, let's see if he can make a similar leap!

PG: Mike Conley / Kyle Lowry
SG: Goran Dragic / Danny Green
SF: Jimmy Butler / Harrison Barnes
PF: Anthony Davis / Al Horford
C: DeMarcus Cousins / Joakim Noah

Let's finish this so I can do my write...and list off the guys we all missed!  ;D

Holz

The guys I'm suprised haven't gone definitely Nerlens Noel, ridiculous defensive value, Alphabet was almost my next pick but I thought I should go with another guard, Monta, Kemba and Reggie Jacson are all going to put up very good years, and Knight, Rubio and Batum somehow got missed.  No idea how Kenneth Faried has been missed too!

Jay

Iggy and Giannis are two who I definitely thought would have been taken.

Gallanari, if and its a reasonable if he stays remotely healthy will have a 50 point game this year, shown flashes of being able to rebound run the floor and flush it over big guys, 6'10-6'11 with 3pt range

Okafor and Anthony Towns, both will have an immediate impact, Favors and Tyreke Evans

the problem was we needed 12 people willing to draft so the talent was thinned... still good fun and look forward to how it pans out

Would love a recent draft like one from say the last 3 years.

I picked Wiggins was that the only player from this years or last years draft?

My rankings using 9 categories including pts, 3’s, rebs, ass, stls, blks, fg%, ft% and TO’s.  Players get a per game value of all their strengths and weaknesses as well as projecting their output for the regular season.  So for example a player with a positive score in a category can be balanced out with a player who has a negative value in the same category. Let’s get started.

1. Riot â€" Team value = 2.93

Riot somehow managed to pick up 3 possible projected 1st rounders in Harden, Westbrook and Anthony.  Has a good mi of age and youth, and no real injur prone guys unless you include Melo.  Statistically Riot is positive in 8/9 categories, with TO’s very high due to high usage guys in that 1st round.  The #1 scoring team too, but I think the fg% category will be one to dip into the negative.

2. Jvalles69 â€" Team value = 2.28

I’m fairly balanced across the board with 7/9 categories being positive, ft% and TO’s being the 2 negatives.  This is the block party team, with DJ, Whiteside and Favors in the paint.  Lot’s of high upside guys mixed with some veterans, and hoping the real king Durant can retake his throne.

3. Jay â€" Team value = 2.19

Jay is balanced in 7/10 categories without anyone jumping off the screen, 3pt and TO value the weaknesses, however they are just in the negative so this team is more balanced than the top 2 teams.  A solid backbone in the AD/DC combo, prob the best C/PF combo in the league, a very good place to build from.  Couple of injury plagued guys in Noah and Lowry, but consistent contributors when healthy.

4. Chumps â€" Team value = 1.84

As I keep going through the lists, all the teams are very well balanced so guys knew what their strengths and weaknesses were going into each pick and chumps is no different.  Only 1 negative category here in TO’s, with pts, assists and ft% being the highest ranked stats.  Solid team with a few aging guys and big ? marks over Kobe and PG-13.

5. Griff â€" Team value = 1.18

This team looks like a motley crew of hard workers who get the job done, will be interesting to see if guys like Rondo and Hibbert come back from bad funks last season, both with new teams.  Only weaknesses here are TO’s and the only decent source of blks coming from Hibbert.  Jefferson has meant to have lost a lot of weight so should have less problems with his feet, but I’d only expect DWade to play a 3rd of the games at the very most.

6. Holz â€" Team value = 1.10

This team has only 3 weaknesses in steals, ft% and TO’s, but it also has King James and Prince Kawhi!  Biggest steal here was Ibaka who is going to get back to his best with Durant and Westbrook taking over the offensive pressure and a better guy next to him than Kendrick Perkins in Kanter.  I think Dirk might take a slight decline this year and be rested more frequently.

7. Gandalf â€" Team value = 0.89

Last but not least…Gandalf’s team is prob the least balanced, but has some dominating categories in pts, rebs, stls, assists and only has 3 negatives in 3’s, ft%, TO’s similar to the rest of us.  Could be a real dark horse in fantasy (if this was fantasy) because you only need to win 5/9 cats.  I thought a few of the early picks were a bit questionable with what was on the board, but came back with some great steals to round out his team.  Drummond could be consistently scary this year, but so could Monroe with them not trying to rule the same paint!

I have major issues however with team structure. Harden Westbrook and Anthony will all want the ball. When they are on different teams they will all put up points in bunches. When they are on the same team they wont.

thats the only problem with that analysis.

on my team I have more defined roles. Lebron is a facilitator with Irving being ther for pur scoring power. Kawai is used to sharing a load and my big men in Ibaka and Howard dont need the ball that much.

problem with that analogy is ur assuming they cant play different roles on a different team, Olympics?
